How to pause Dota 2

Valve has been kind enough to include the ability to pause the game in Dota 2 which is great for various reasons. If a player disconnects from the lobby at the last second or fails to connect for some reason then it’s possible to pause the match for a time allowing the disconnected player time to rejoin.

Dota 2 is a free to play Online Battle Arena Multiplayer (MOBA) developed as well as published by Valve and was officially released on July 9, 2013, for Windows, OS X, and Linux. It takes its origins from a community-made mod, created for Blizzard Entertainment’s Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion pack, The Frozen Throne. Dota 2 features diverse game modes such as All Pick, Turbo, and Arcade. However, it also features a competitive experience using the official Dota 2 Ranking System. Dota 2 possesses one of the most competitive and successful esports scenes. Every year, teams from different regions all around the globe compete to become the champions of Ti (The International). With its prize pool reaching up to $10.9 Million, Dota 2 is currently the holder of the biggest Esports event in the history of Esports. Several other regional tournaments are held by Valve and other organizers to promote the game and to keep the Dota 2 professional circuit alive and thriving. Valve is updating Dota 2 on a steady basis in order to balance and keep the gameplay up to date including  new heroes and terrains.
