Best Tec-9 Skins in CSGO
The Tec-9 may be a mediocre semi-automatic pistol now, but it was once the undisputed champion of its category in Counter-Strike Global Offensive. Armour penetration value, first shot accuracy, bullet grouping accuracy - the Tec-9 excelled in every way possible. However, it couldn’t evade the nerf hammer. The Tec-9 built such an astonishing reputation during its prime time, and with that came a whole inventory of awesome skins. Today we’ll be showcasing some of the best skins that the Tec-9 has to offer.
The Tec-9 Fuel Injector was added to CSGO on the 18th of August, 2016. It was released as part of the Gamma 2 Collection, and currently starts at $2 on the Steam Market.
Description: Pit crew not included
Cheapest-Highest Steam Listing: $2 (WW) - $11 (FN)
Drops From: Gamma Case 2
First Appeared: 18 August 2016
The Fuel Injector skin design is popular because of its appearance on the AK-47, and many people found out about the Tec-9 version because of the AK one. In our opinion, the Fuel Injector seems to fit the Tec-9 better, and that’s mainly because of the way the gun itself is designed. Although not that expensive, it doesn’t really show quality loss in older conditions. This means that you can get one of the best Tec-9 skins in CSGO for a mere 2$.
The Tec-9 Decimator was added to CSGO 18th of November, 2019. It was released as part of the Shattered Web collection, and starts at $8 on the Steam Market.
Description: Available for 4 easy payments of $124.95!
Cheapest-Highest Steam Listing: $8 (BS) - $31 (FN)
Drops From: Shattered Web Case
First Appeared: 18 November 2019
Here we have another skin design that can be traced back to a different weapon, the Decimator. It could previously be seen on the M4A1, and it became rather popular when it was released. As soon as the Tec-9 received the same skin, people flocked to purchase it. It’s still one of the most expensive Tec-9 skins out there today, with a Factory New version going for as much as $31. Battle-Scarred versions don’t look as bad either, but they’re not that cheap either.
The Tec-9 Nuclear Threat was added to CSGO on the 14th of August, 2013. It was released as part of the Nuke Collection, and currently starts at $14 on the Steam Market.
Cheapest-Highest Steam Listing: $14 (BS) - $380 (FN)
Drops From: N/A
First Appeared: 14 August 2013
The Tec-9 Nuclear Threat is a legendary skin that many won’t remember at this point. Its age and history are why it’s so expensive, and CSGO skin collectors prefer this over many other old skins on the market right now. The design is nothing special, and what mainly attracts people to this skin is the vibrant radiation tri-foil sign located near the magazine and barrel. If you really want this skin, then maybe consider getting it in the worst condition. However, it will show a lot of wear and tear.
The Tec-9 Re-Entry was added to CSGO on the 27th of April, 2016. It was released as part of the Chroma 3 Collection, and currently starts at $0.43 on the Steam Market.
Description: I hate being right all the time - Carmen Cocinero, Extraction Expert
Cheapest-Highest Steam Listing: $0.43 (BS) - $1.30 (FN)
Drops From: Chroma 3 Case
First Appeared: 27 April 2016
The Tec-9 Re-Entry is one of the cheapest skins for the Tec-9 out there. And not only is it cheap, but it’s also among the best Tec-9 skin designs. Let’s face it, we’re all suckers for a good ol’ flame pattern, and this skin offers exactly that. The flame fits perfectly on the barrel, and the rest of the skin is covered in a teal-dotted pattern. We’d recommend purchasing this skin in either Factory New or Minimal Wear.
The prices of skins will always depend on what skin conditions they are in and what stickers they have. That is why we’d recommend using our esteemed partner's website called Skinport to buy skins. It is a safe CS:GO skin selling and buying site with 5-star average user reviews, a wide variety of payment options and top streamers also endorse it.
Even though it was once good and still has a high magazine capacity, the Tec-9 is now plagued by a slew of issues like range penalties and insane spread. It’s still usable, but definitely not close to what it once was.
