Cheapest M249 Skins in CSGO

Let’s see which of the M249 skins are cheap and good.
Cheapest M249 Skins in CSGO

The M249 is a light machine gun in Counter-Strike Global Offensive. It was featured in every Counter-Strike game so far, and is viewed as a piece of this series’ history.

It’s reputation in CS:GO is bleak to say the least. It’s the most expensive weapon in-game, and compares poorly to other popular rifles. It has a slower fire-rate than the Negev, but it has increased accuracy and dishes out decent damage, which is why some players may prefer it over the Negev.

All in all, it’s very similar in reputation to the sawed-off shotgun. Skins are obviously not as desirable for this weapon, but cheap skins can always be found, no matter what weapon. So if you’re in the market for an affordable M249 skin, look no further.

Spectre

The M249 Spectre was added to CS:GO on the 27th of April, 2016. It was released as part of the Chroma 3 Collection, and currently starts at $0.06 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: The Phoenix civil war is about to begin
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $0.06(FT) - $0.25(FN)
  • Drops From: Chroma 3 Case
  • First Appeared: 27 April 2016

The Spectre has a pretty nice camouflage pattern design, but what completes it are the yellow and dark accents around the main camouflage pattern.

It’s one of the better M249 skins, and the prices for lower conditions are less than 10 cents. If you want a clean version, purchase this skin in factory new.

Warbird

The M249 Warbird was added to CS:GO on the 18th of November, 2019. It was released as part of the Shattered Web Collection, and currently starts at $0.23 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: This old bird deserves a rest
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $0.23(FT) - $1.20(FN)
  • Drops From: Shattered Web Case
  • First Appeared: 18 November 2019

The Warbird weapon skin shows off the famous American army look you see in popular war movies. The rusty star design actually fits well with this weapon, mainly because we’re accustomed to the M249 being used in war movies. Conditions don’t really impact the skin a lot, so going with the cheapest option for this skin is recommended.

O.S.I.P.R.

The M249 O.S.I.P.R. was added to CS:GO on the 3rd of May, 2021. It was released as part of the Snakebite Collection, and currently starts at $0.14 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: Overwatch Standard Issue Pulse Rifle
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $0.14(BS) - $0.57(FN)
  • Drops From: Snakebite Case
  • First Appeared: 3 May 2021

This skin has a nice coat of mixed gray and blue metallic paint, and it creates a very pleasant shine. It’s nothing complex when it comes to the design, but it’s not too bad for the prices this skin’s conditions go for. Field-tested for $0.15 is our recommended choice with this skin.
