The M4A4 was the original M4 in Counter-Strike Global Offensive. It resides in the higher assault rifle tier, and it closely rivals the M4A1-S. Both are very similar in terms of penetrative power, making quick work of fully armored opponents. What many prefer with the M4A4 is the fire rate and magazine size. Those two factors are mainly what distinguish the M4A4 from the M4A1-S. What’s less favorable however is the fact that it has more recoil and isn’t silenced. The M4A1-S’ on the other hand is silenced and thus very accurate, making it deadly in the hands of pro players.

All in all, the M4A4 is more suited for an aggressive or up-close playstyle, making it most suitable for smaller maps. This weapon has its fair share of history with skins, especially when it came to the M4A4 Howl. There are also plenty of other notorious skins for the M4A4, and you can trace them back to the beginning of CS:GO cases. Most are quite expensive skins, so finding cheap, but still nice ones isn’t an easy task. Luckily we decided to compile such a list for you. There were definitely a lot of skins to comb through, but we’ve managed to find the best cheap skins for the M4A4.

Evil Daimyo

The M4A4 Evil Daimyo was added to CS:GO on the 26th of May, 2015. It was released as part of the Falchion Collection, and currently starts at $1.37 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: Carmen. I found him...- The Oni and The Valkyrie Part 1
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $1.37(FT) - $3.65(FN)
  • Drops From: Falchion Case
  • First Appeared: 26 May 2015

The Evil Daimyo skin is a popular skin because it has a really nice design for very cheap. The colors of this particular pattern are all over the place, but it still looks somewhat organized. The red and gray combo is definitely the main attraction with this skin. Field-tested is your best choice in terms of price-quality balance, it’s not really different from minimal wear in terms of quality, but it’s still cheaper.

Spider Lily

The M4A4 Spider Lily was added to CS:GO on the 22nd of September, 2021. It was released as part of the Operation Riptide Collection, and currently starts at $0.60 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: Bright colors are a warning, not an invitation
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $0.60(BS) - $5.60(FN)
  • Drops From: Operation Riptide Case
  • First Appeared: 22 September 2021

The Spider Lily is one of the newer M4A4 skins, and it’s definitely worthy of a mention on this list due to the price. The design focuses around the red flowers in the central part of the gun, and it fits really well with the remaining dark blue paint covering the entire gun. What’s even better is that it doesn’t tear as much in worse conditions, so you can enjoy the design without really compromising the quality.

Tooth Fairy

The M4A4 Tooth Fairy was added to CS:GO on the 7th of August, 2020. It was released as part of the Fracture Collection, and currently starts at $3.50 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: No one said the teeth have to be yours…
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $3.50(BS) - $8.30(FN)
  • Drops From: Fracture Case
  • First Appeared: 7 August 2020

Contrary to how it sounds, this design takes a monstrous approach. The main attraction of this skin is the creepy and wendigo-like tooth fairy in the middle of the gun, with the colors around it completing the theme. This is a classified skin, so naturally it’s a bit more expensive. But, field-tested versions go for $4.00 and the quality is about the same as factory new.

Buzz Kill

The M4A4 Buzz Kill was added to CS:GO on the 28th of November, 2016. It was released as part of the Glove Collection, and currently starts at $5.21 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: There's one at every party
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $5.20(BS) - $16.40(FN)
  • Drops From: Glove Case
  • First Appeared: 28 November 2016

The Buzz Kill was designed with a futuristic style in mind. The color scheme really complements the futuristic pattern design, which is why it's a popular skin. This is a covert rarity skin, and as you’ve probably noticed; factory new for this skin is too expensive. However, field-tested goes for $5.70 and is nearly the same quality as factory new. This is a large bargain when you take the non-existent quality loss and skin rarity into consideration.

Griffin

The M4A4 Griffin was added to CS:GO on the 11th of November, 2014. It was released as part of the Vanguard Collection, and currently starts at $1.47 on the Steam Market.

  • Description: Felix handpicked his team from operators all over the world... and while people question their personalities, they never question the results
  • Cheapest-Highest Steam Price: $1.47(BS) - $4.25(FN)
  • Drops From: Operation Vanguard Weapon Case
  • First Appeared: 11 November 2014

The Griffin is a more simple design in comparison to the other skins on this list. This skin’s main theme is the image of a Griffin, and it honestly fits the M4A4 quite well. The Griffin is a pretty old school skin, but it’s still being bought today due to its price and former popularity in 2014-15. Factory new isn’t required, both minimal wear($1.92) and field-tested($1.46) versions are good enough in terms of quality and price.

The prices for skins like this can definitely change in the future. What prices also depend on are CS:GO Skin conditions and stickers. We recommend our partner’s website called Skinport for purchasing M4A4 skins.
