Rarest Skins in CSGO
We all know that rare CSGO skins can cost a lot of money, but did you know they can cost millions? Learn about the rarest CSGO skins by reading this article!
CSGO skins have always been quite expensive, but in the past few years, the value of these skins have sharply spiked upwards, leaving lots of players who sold their skins earlier in regret. Though the general prices in CSGO weapon skins are already relatively high, some skins have astronomical prices due to the rarity of the CSGO skins. Let’s check out some of the most scarce and most valuable skins today!
Karambit Case Hardened (Blue Gem), Factory New $1,200,000+
Yep, you saw that correctly. There isn’t an extra 0 on that price tag. The rarest and most expensive CSGO skin in the world is the Karambit Case Hardened, Blue Gem, in Factory New condition.
Though normal Factory New Karambit Case Hardeneds usually go for less than a thousand dollars, this particular one that we are talking about is completely distinguished over the rest. The Case Hardened skin lineup has different patterns on different knives, and extra rare patterns will obviously add to the value of the skin.
The rarest pattern on a Case Hardened skin is the “Blue Gem” pattern, where one side of the skin is completely ocean blue, giving the weapon skin such a premium look to it. The most expensive knife skin, which is the number one Blue Gem Karambit, was offered $1,200,000, but the owner still turned down the offer and said the amount was too low!
The failure of the offer had the entire skin trading community shocked, and left wondering what its real price could be. Could you imagine turning down one and a half million dollars for some pixels?
StatTrak AK-47 Case Hardened (661 Pattern), Minimal Wear $150,000
With the absurd price of the Karambit Case Hardened we covered earlier, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see another Case Hardened making it to the list. The second rarest CS skin is a StatTrak AK-47 Case Hardened, with a “661 Pattern.”
Since the AK-47 is bigger than any knife, it is impossible to get an entire side to be completely blue, so the best pattern possible is the “661 Pattern”, also known as the “scar pattern.” A 661 pattern will allow the AK-47 to have a clean blue top, all the way to the back with a golden scar close to the rear.
This particular skin with the number one pattern successfully sold for $150,000! The reason why it cost more was because of the four Titan Katowice 2014 Holo stickers that have been applied to the weapon. Each Titan sticker can cost almost $20,000, and there are four of them on the weapon already!
Souvenir Dragon Lore, Factory New $68,000
Though two weapon skins have higher prices, the Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore is still considered as the most expensive CS skin, as there are no extremely rare patterns involved with each one. Every one of the most expensive AWP skin, the Dragon Lore, will look the same and have the same pattern. However, the thing that can bump up the price of a Dragon Lore is having the gun to be a Souvenir AWP one.
A “Souvenir” weapon has golden stickers of professional players and teams applied to the weapon. These stickers cannot be found anywhere, as the stickers simply appear when you receive the weapon.
This means that, if you were to unbox a Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore with the sticker of a legendary AWPer such as s1mple or kennyS, then you’re set up to fund four generations from this skin alone.
The most expensive Souvenir Dragon Lore reached that price due to the AWP having ex-Cloud9 AWPer Skadoodle on the skin, increasing the value.
StatTrak M4A4 Howl, Factory New $30,000+
The M4A4 Howl has an incredibly cool looking design, with the main concept being an image of a fierce wolf. Though the design itself could have the weapon sell for thousands already, the prices of M4A4 Howls have been severely increased due to the fact that the rare skin is now Contraband.
This means that it is now impossible to unbox new M4A4 Howls, so the only way to obtain them is through purchasing it through the Steam Market, or trading for it with another person. We can apply basic laws of supply to figure out that the prices shot up the roof once the weapon was announced to be Contraband.
StatTrak Karambit Crimson Web, Factory New $19,500
Aside from the crazy price tag on the number one Karambit Case Hardened, the StatTrak Karambit Crimson Web in Factory New condition is actually the most expensive skins in the knife category, excluding pattern-based skins.
The Crimson Web has a blood-red color scheme which screams such a premium type of color. Paired up with the most popular knife type, the Karambit, it’s a no-brainer that this skin will reach such a high price point, to the point where you could buy a car or two with the same amount of money.
A Karambit Crimson Web can fetch over $50,000 if the skin has a spider web pattern. But other than that, the Crimson Web is less focused on patterns and is just overall such a clean skin especially in Factory New condition.
StatTrak M9 Bayonet Crimson Web, Factory New $18,500
Following the Karambit Crimson Web, the StatTrak M9 Bayonet Crimson Web in Factory New is another knife that will cost you a fortune to get. Though the M9 Bayonet isn’t the most popular knife choice, it is particularly good for the Crimson Web skin as the knife has more area to display the Crimson Web design.
Another reason why the M9 Bayonet is a super expensive skin is because there is a limited stock that is circulating around the market. And just like any other Crimson Web, prices can exponentially rise if a spider web pattern can be seen on the weapon.
AWP Gungnir, Factory New $15,500
The AWP Gungnir is the newest addition to the lineup of premier AWP skins. This expensive skin has received lots of positive feedback, as the Gungnir offers a stunning blue color and markings from Norse mythology. This is definitely one of the valuable skins for collectors who are interested in history and stories.
Aside from the clean design, the AWP Gungnir is very expensive because not many of them have been unboxed yet, since the skin was added quite recently compared to the other CSGO skins on this list. The lack of supply makes the AWP Gungnir one of the rarest skins for now.
StatTrak AK-47 Fire Serpent, Factory New $9,999
The AK-47 is arguably the most popular AK skins in the game, and for that reason, is the most expensive AK-47 skin in all of Counter Strike.
The skin has held its place as the rarest skins in the AK-47 division for so many years already. The skin features a serpent as the central idea of the design. And as we all know, cool creatures on skins will equal big money.
The Fire Serpent skin is so sought after that lots of people try their shot at doing trade up contracts to get a minimal wear Fire Serpent or better. Fortunately, a handful of lucky people scammed Gaben into getting themselves a StatTrak AK-47 Fire Serpent for themselves.
If you’re going to attempt a trade up, make sure the trade up materials aren’t in battle scarred condition!
Specialist Gloves Crimson Kimono $9,400
With all these rare CSGO skins mentioned above, it is quite easy to forget all about gloves! The Specialist Gloves Crimson Kimono is one of the most high-end glove skins available in the game, and is the only skin in the Gloves department to make it to this list.
If you have gotten all your favorite rifle, AWP, and expensive knife skin in minimal wear or above, then gloves are the last thing you will need to complete your full set. The glove skin itself is already extremely pricey, but the value can go even higher if you find a favorable pattern on this particular glove skin as long as it’s not battle scarred!
There you have it folks! These are some of the rarest and most expensive skins in the entire game! If you’re tired of having battle scarred skins in your inventory, consider learning how to earn money playing CSGO, and get yourself these beauties!
