The Best 50 Skins For You to Stand Out in Fortnite

Although Fortnite began its life as a zombie horde survival game, the real cash cow of this franchise has been it’s ground-breaking battle royale mode. With the combination of it’s unique building mechanics, tight controls, fun game modes and varied weapons, Fortnite has gone from strength to strength. This gameplay has been the foundation of the games success, however, one thing the game has also done to tighten its grip on the multiplayer market has been it’s variety of pop culture heavy and wacky cosmetic skins.

These have ranged from season themed skins, to super heroes, to wacky colourful bananas. The ability to make yourself stand out within the game has been possible right from the get-go and for that, you have to commend the fantastic developers at Epic. Though, you may be just starting out in this game and wondering which skins on offer are the best. Well, although this is purely subjective, we have compiled a list of all of our favourite Fortnite skins since way back in the early days. So if you’re on the hunt for your next signature look when you drop in for a game, just sit back and relax as we take you through the best fortnite skins out there.

Tomato head Skin

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-Bucks

Remember Tomato Town? Well, then you probably remember the fun googly-eyed tomato that sat atop the fast food joint in the area. This skin takes this wacky little tomato and allows you to run around the map taking revenge on those who pumped bullets into your fine establishment. This features a tomato head helmet, a red jacket with a pizza slice emblazoned on the chest and green trousers with an Italian flag featured on the pant leg. It’s a great skin that you need to check out!

Dire Skin

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (Season 6 battle pass)

Is that a full moon tonight? It must be as this skin features a gruesome werewolf with glowing blood orange eyes, sharp claws capable of ripping your opponents to shreds, and if that doesn’t work you can always use the katana on your back. This is a perfect skin for solo players who prefer to be the lone wolf. If this sounds like you, give this one a go.

Mothmando

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 v-bucks

If you’ve ever heard of the Mothman from the urban legends, you’ll know that they are a force to be reckoned with. However, this iteration of the mythical horror is actually pretty cuddly looking. It features a gas mask that looks like a moth, complete with big buggy eyes. Unlike normal moths, this one will hide in the shadows and pop shots at you from distance, so be sure to be on your guard if you spot one. If this look seems like something you want to add to your collection, be sure to grab it when you can.

The Ice King

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 v-bucks (season 7 battle pass)

Now we have the Ice King, a skin that has clearly taken inspiration from the Night King from Game Of Thrones. His costume is reminiscent of the raven skin with a more cold colour palette that makes this one infinitely cooler. The ice king also has sharp icicle horns and piercing blue eyes that tie this look together to make this one of the most desirable skins in the whole game. Winter is coming, so prepare yourself for the Ice King Cometh.

Dark Voyager

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (season 3 battle pass)

If you’re on the hunt for a skin that’s out of this world, then why not use the dark voyager skin. This one was an earlier skin you could unlock in season three via the battle pass and features a jet black astronaut costume with glowing orange accents. It’s perfect for staying hidden in the darker areas of the map and looking great while you sneak around in the shadows. You may have this one lying around from your earlier playing days, so check your inventory and pop this one on for your next game.

Valor Fortnite Skin

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (season 7 battle pass)

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it’s the valor skin. This one features a look that is clearly inspired by the best heroines of our time such as Captain Marvel or Wonderwoman. It uses red, purple and white colours to form a body suit that looks perfect for fighting crime and ridding the map of all your enemies. So if you want to express your girl power in your next match, see if you have this one lying around and equip it now!

Crack shot

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-bucks

It might be the back end of Summer at the time of writing, but it’s never to early to get into the Christmas spirit. However, this skin will give you the chills so hard you’ll think it’s Halloween. This one features a madman dressed in a nutcracker uniform complete with a helmet or a manic looking nutcracker. Nothing says Merry Christmas like a little bit of nutcracker based psychotic rage. It’s not available to purchase right now but you never know, this might come back into rotation around the holidays, so keep an eye out.

Firewalker

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-bucks

Now we have a skin that was inspired by the Chinese new year holiday. The firewalker skin has a colour oriental design that features a bearded dragon mask, an overcoat and costume that makes use of a red and blue colour palette and a mining hammer that also features a fearsome looking dragon at the tip. It also has awesome gold accents that give the added feel of luxury to the overall design. This one isn’t currently in rotation but it might come back in the next lunar new year so keep your eyes peeled.

Hime

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-bucks

Speaking of oriental design, we continue with that trend with a Japanese samurai themed skin. This comes in a female and male version and features an angry-looking samurai dressed in a royal navy blue armour with a gold trim and a rope belt. The detail of this design is fantastic and if you want to bring honour to your family, the Hime skin is the perfect way to serve the Emperor.

Raven skin

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-bucks

Remember the Ice King skin? Well, this is the base which that skin got its design from. This one features a dark figure in a black costume decorated with feathers of a raven and small details which add some deep purples to the colour palette. The figure also has piercing purple glowing eyes and sharp, mechanical looking hands. In short, if someone is wearing this skin, you know that they mean business. You can still grab this one today so keep your eyes peeled for this one in the shop and don’t miss your opportunity to grab this.

Leviathan

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-bucks

Most of the skins on this list will have you run around as humans in masks and costumes. However, this skin has you playing as a piranha floating around in a glass dome where your head should be. He’s a pretty angry looking dude and if we had the choice, we would have probably left him in the lake instead of giving him a body to use for his own evil deeds. The rest of the suit is similar to the Dark Voyager skin only with a white bodysuit and gold accents. You can still get this one in the shop so check daily and when this one pops up, jump at the chance to own this classy looking skin.

Funk Ops

  • Rarity: epic
  • Cost: 1500 v-bucks

Who said disco was dead? This skin really plays on the seventies disco stereotype with a design that shows a guy with a stylish looking afro, shiny clothing that sparkles in the light, neon colours included into the outfit and a pair of obnoxious looking shades to tie the outfit together. It’s a wacky and silly skin but one that looks great. So if you’re a disco kid or simply like the fun design, be sure to pick this one in the shop next time it pops up.

Rook

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (season 5 battle pass)

What can we say about this one? Well, picture a hall monitor that takes their job really seriously. We mean like wearing a bulletproof vest and a belt lined with shotgun shells kind of serious. Yeah, you get the picture. This one is a no-nonsense woman with business attire who has her hair tied back and is ready to knock you on your ass. Girl power, am I right? You can’t pick up this female boss skin because it was available in the season five battle pass, so if you missed this one, we’re afraid it’s tough luck.

Chomp Sr.

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-bucks

Do you hear the Jaws theme? This skin is a fun one that looks like a pretty makeshift shark costume that you’d put together at the last minute for a costume party. It’s essentially a blue and white wetsuit with a shark head helmet attached. It won’t help you move through water any faster but at least you won’t get water in your eyes when you’re wearing your goggles. This one is still in rotation so be sure to add this to your collection when it appears in the shop.

Beef Boss

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-bucks

If you fell in love with the Durr Burger Head mascot when you first dropped into a game in Fortnite, then you’ll love this skin. The beef boss skin allows you to become the burger mascot while you run around causing havoc on the map. You get a two tone purple and yellow shirt, a snazzy bow tie and the classic burger head in helmet form fully loaded and hanging his tongue out menacingly. You can still add this one to your collection so be sure to take that opportunity when you can.

Peely

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 950 V-Bucks (season 8 battle pass)

Remember that banana skin we mentioned earlier? Well, here is it is in all its potassium filled glory. This one is pretty straight forward. It’s a dude in a banana costume that’s a little bit peeled at the top. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to be bothering him too much judging by his smiling face. This one was a season eight battle pass reward but you can’t get this one unless you earned it that season but you never know, it might pop up again. So keep your eyes peeled. Get it? Because it’s a banana? Hilarious.

Omega

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-bucks

This snazzy skin takes the ideas made popular by the dark voyager skin and tailors the suit to make it a costume that would be ideal for any mysterious villain out there. This comes from the superheroes and villains season so it’s hardly surprising that this one looks as menacing as it does. The suit is jet black and contrasts this with glowing orange accents. This one is no longer available but if you’re a long time player, there is a good chance this one is gathering dust in your inventory. So be sure to rummage through and if you can make use of this older skin.

Dusk

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (season 6 battle pass)

Now we have the dusk skin. This one serves up a stylish and menacing-looking female vampire. The costume is a skimpy black dress with bat wings included in the garment. She also has blood-red eyes, pale skin that matches her white hair and she even has a purple dip dye going on because you know, she’s edgy. This one is perfect for all you scene kids out there that want to go back to a better time. Sadly, you’ll have to have earned this one in the season six battle pass, so if you didn’t, we’re afraid you won’t be able to become a creature of the night.

Dante and Rosa

  • Rarity: epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-bucks

If you want to celebrate the Mexican tradition of the day of the dead, then you’ll need a sugar skull themed skin that’s fit for the job. Dante and Rosa are the male and female versions of these skins and they look absolutely fantastic. They both feature stunning detailed outfits that stick close to the Mexican culture and their faces are painted like sugar skulls. Then to top it off, each skin is topped off with a rose. These are wonderful skins that are perfect for the holidays or any other day of the year for that matter, so grab them if you can.

Ragnarok

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (Season 5 battle pass)

Moving onto something a little bolder and more badass. Ragnarok features a bald man with a blue beard but because it was a progressive skin you built over time, this one gradually turned into a demonic-looking figure with a bone skull on its head, glowing ice-blue eyes and a badass set of armour that looks just about impenetrable. This one is sadly not available anymore as you had to build it during season 5. However, if you did this and haven’t used it in a while, maybe now is a good time to break it out.

Sgt Green Clover

  • Rarity: Uncommon
  • Cost: 800 V-bucks

One of the more reasonably priced skins out there but one that’s still loved by many. This leprechaun themed skin is perfect for Paddy’s Day or simply for causing mischief and urging those around you to follow the rainbow. It’s a shame for them that you’ll be waiting at the end of the rainbow with a shotgun in hand to steal their loot. You can’t get this one right now but you’ll likely see this one appear around March time, so have your pint of Guinness ready for the occasion.

Love Ranger

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-Bucks

So what if cupid wasn’t the cute little baby with a bow and was actually a gargoyle looking figure with a crossbow? Well, it would probably look a lot like this skin right here. It features a devilish looking dude with horns, purple skin and scars which glow pink. It’s hard to imagine a badass version of Cupid but Epic manage to do a pretty good job here. This one only really pops up in February around the Valentines day holiday, so you’ll have to hold out until then to get this one if you haven’t already.

Ghoul Trooper

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-bucks

This one is a variation of the default woman’s skin which was a promotional skin for Halloween 2017. This one was made before the hoards of fans flocked to the series so it explains why it’s a little bit more subdued in terms of design but it is a pretty rare one to get your hands on and it’s also a fun one to break out in October, the spookiest month of the year.

Black Knight

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (season 2 battle pass)

Now we have the Black Knight skin. This one features a mysterious looking figure dressed in a dark attire and wearing a shield with a coat of arms emblazoned on the front. It’s perhaps not the most detailed or luxurious of the tier 70 battle pass rewards but it is rather rare considering you could only pick this up in season two. So if you’re an original player, you might want to stick this one on and show your experience and pedigree in your next game.

Hollowhead

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 950 V-Bucks (Season 6 battle pass)

Here’s another Halloween themed skin but this one really ups the ante on the spook factor. This one features a guy with leather armour and a massive pumpkin helmet that emits a glowing green light. The face is super spooky and the eyes even seem to give off green embers too. You could only grab this one in season six so if you missed your chance then you’ll have to wait until it comes back into rotation, however, due to its links to the holiday season, you may be able to pick it up then if you’re lucky.

Chief Hopper

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-bucks

This is one for all you sci-fi fans out there. This skin takes the likeness of Chief Hopper, a character from the popular Netflix original show, Stranger Things. The skin really nails the design of the character perfectly complete with his iconic hat and his rugged facial features. This one was a premium skin to mark the release of the third season of the show, so you’ll struggle to get your hands on this one now. You have to admit though, no pesky Demogorgon is going to mess with you in this skin.

Dark Bomber

  • Rarity: Rare
  • Cost: 1200 V-bucks

Now here’s a skin for those who like sticking to the shadows and using stealth to pick off your foes. This dark bomber skin uses a black and deep purple colour palette to create a skin that is actually rather reminiscent of the Overwatch character, Widowmaker. It’s a really sleek design that is perfect for someone who likes those more sombre tones and dark styles out there.

Tricera Ops

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-bucks

If you are still rocking the default skin and want to jazz your look up a little then why not take some inspiration from a more prehistoric time period. This one features a red jumper with a hood that looks just like a triceratops. So if you’re a fan of dinosaurs or simply like the red and yellow colour palette, this one is well worth adding to your collection.

Eternal Voyager

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (season ten battle pass)

Now we have a skin that takes the dark voyager skin and adds a bit of a paranormal twist to the classic skin. This one swaps the glowing orange or a green hue and the blacked-out helmet is removed to reveal a skull that is burning an ethereal green fire. It’s a stunning design that takes an older concept and modernises it with great success. If you have this one, be sure to equip it for a game or two and live your Ghostrider fantasy.

Ace

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-Bucks

You ever heard of the classic fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood? Well, this skin takes this notion and makes a great skin based on this concept. Although, I don’t think grandma wolf will be bothering you too much when you come in with your weapons drawn. This one meshes a cute skirt, stockings and hoodie combo with a fearsome mask that shows you mean business. You can’t get this one anymore because it was only available in the third starter pack which is no longer available for purchase. However, if you happen to have this one, be sure to take advantage of this skins stunning design.

Brite Bomber

  • Rarity: Rare
  • Cost: 1200 V-bucks

Now we have the brite bomber skin. This one doesn’t look much at first glance with a figure dressed in navy coloured armour with purple accents scattered through the outfit. However, upon closer inspection, you’ll see that this skin has a wonderful design on its chest with lovely rainbows and sunshine and sprinkles and sugar dust being the main theme of the piece. In short, it’s a subtle design with just a dash of whimsy.

Crackabella

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-Bucks

Remember the nightmare fuel that was Crackshot. Well, it turns out that he has a girlfriend and we can see why they get on so well. This is the female version of the nutcracker themed skin and it keeps the same spooky appearance as its counterpart. However, it goes for a more clean design rich with pure whites and gold accents. So if you were on the hunt for a more feminine psycho nutcracker skin, youre in luck

Drift

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-Bucks (season 5 battle pass)

Now we have the drift skin which you acquire at tier one of the season five battle pass. This one is another progressive skin that grows in aesthetic value as you play. By the end, you are left with a stunning hipster-looking masked character in a baggy black red and yellow coat. This is an iconic skin within the fortnite franchise and you can see why with the modern meets casual vibe it gives off. If you have this one in your inventory, dust it off and play a few games with this stunning skin.

Galaxy

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: $400 Samsung product

Now this one is one of the more rare skins on the roster simply down to the means of acquiring this skin. To get this one, you had to buy a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S4 tablet to unlock this amazingly designed skin. This skin features a guy who is completely decked out with an intergalactic design showcasing a wealth of stars nestled amongst the cosmos. It’s easily one of the rarest skins in the game so be sure to wear it as a badge of honour.

Lynx

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-Bucks (Season 7 battle pass)

If you’re looking for something that has that slick black panther vibe of the omega skin, but also with a more feminine, Catwoman-esque style, Then you need the lynx skin. This one is a jet black cat suit complete with a tail and ears for good measure. This one was only available within the season seven battle pass though, so if you missed your chance it’s tough luck we’re afraid.

Midas

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-Bucks (Season 2 battle pass)

Now we have one that’s quite recent in the form of the Midas skin. Much like Midas himself, it seems that whatever skin Epic try their hands at turns to gold. This skin shows a very smartly dressed young man with slicked hair, a scar through his right eye and hands that are covered in a shiny gold substance. This is an absolutely stunning skin that shows that even with season after season of Fortnite passing by, the developers can still come up with some classy ideas.

Raptor

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 2000 V-Bucks

Now for a skin that is iconic within the franchise, the raptor skin. This design includes a man dressed in a furry tan jacket, yellow gloves and a balaclava, then across the chest, you have an ammo belt. It’s a skin that tries to capture the theme of a pilot and it really nails it with the small details such as the earmuffs and the goggles. It’s a great skin that you should jump at the chance to get when it pops up in the shop.

Rox

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (Season 9 battle pass)

Now we ha e a skin that is clearly inspired by the overwatch character D-Va. This skin uses neon pinks, sky blues and vibrant yellows to create a design that is too cool for school. Sadly you won’t get a mech to jump in and dominate the battle island with. However, you will get a skin that will be the envy of all the players in the match. It also comes in a number of custom colours too which is a nice touch.

Wildcard

If youre looking for a skin that could easily double up as a villain in the Batman or James Bond franchises, then look no further than wildcard. This one is a man dressed in a slick grey suit with a painted white face and a red diamond painted over his eye. This one was only available during the season five high stakes event making this one of the rarer items on the roster. There may be a return for the event in the future but for now, this remains a real rarity.

Shadow Ops

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-Bucks

How can we describe this one? Well, we suppose the best way to put it is to imagine that Velma from Scooby-Doo has a more trigger happy disposition and decided to drop into tilted tiles for some action. The design features a tight black suit with hits of red included throughout, a pair of specs and a bob hairstyle. It’s a decent skin that is well worth adding to your collection.

Brat

  • Rarity: Rare
  • Cost: 1200 V-Bucks

Next up we have brat, a skin that takes notes from peely and simply swaps the fruit for a more savoury hot dog. It’s a much more out there design with the hot dog giving off high school jock vibes with his blacked-out shades and snapback. Nonetheless, this is an awesome skin that you can add to your other skin related food items.

Big mouth

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-Bucks

Now for some more nightmare fuel in the form of Bigmouth. This skin features a figure dressed in a long overcoat with different shades of navy and purple. However, where the figures head should be, there is simply a dark abyss with a large tongue. It’s a truly nightmarish concept but one that is brilliantly realised by the designers. So if you want a skin that will spook all your opponents, this is the one to go for.

The Scientist

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (season 10 battle pass)

Next up is the cyberpunk inspired skin, the scientist. This features a mechanical man with a metallic suit that is jet black with orange accents throughout. It even comes with a giant blade that protrudes from his arm as if the suit wasn’t intimidating enough. It’s a design that is perfect for the cold and calculated professional that takes no-nonsense on their search for a victory royale. So be sure to add this one to your rotation of skins.

Bunker Jonesy

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks (Season Nine battle pass)

Next up is the hippie-looking skin, bunker Jonesy. This one was a skin that was heavily featured within the ‘story’ of the ninth season. The skin features long flowing blonde hair and beard, some pink war paint on his face and on his arm. Plus, a lot of players felt that this skin had a lot of physical similarities to the popular Fortnite streamer Tfue. Regardless of your reasons for acquiring this skin, you have to admit, it’s pretty cool.

Axiom

  • Rarity: Rare
  • Cost: 1200 V-Bucks

Are you a man of the X-men franchise? Well, you might enjoy this awesome skin that borrows assets from a popular resident of the Xavier household, Cyclops. It uses the same blue and yellow colour scheme as the X-men character uses for his suit and although the goggles don’t look quite the same, you can see that the idea is very much the same. This is a great skin for someone looking to role play as a mutant hero, this is the ideal choice of skin.

Nite Nite

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-bucks

So, are you a fan of clowns? Well, then you might want to invest in this creepy, colourful skin. This one features a guy dressed it multi-coloured circus attire and with a face painted more than Kendall Jenner going to the met gala. It’s one that might not offer any form of camouflage in those clutch situations but at least you’ll get a few cheap laughs as you scurry away.

Scoundrel

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Cost: 1500 V-bucks

Now for a more subtle and subdued design, the scoundrel skin. This showcases both a male and female skin which plays on the idea of robbers or felons that have fled from jail. It’s done in a very stereotypical fashion that won’t offer many surprises and arguably, there are more interesting skins out there but this one still has a certain charm about it making it worth adding to your collection.

Masked Fury

  • Rarity: Rare
  • Cost: 1200 V-bucks

Now something for all you wrestling fans, Lucha libre fans or Nacho Libre fans. This one features both male and female variants of a Mexican wrestler. Reaper

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Cost: 950 V-bucks
