Star Guardian Rakan
Star Guardian Rakan stands as the premier choice for its pure aesthetic, marking it as the most popular skin for the champion currently. Released on September 19, 2019, with a price tag of 1820RP, it captures the attention of Rakan mains. Personally, I see this as one of the best skins in LoL.
The skin's splash art, often featuring Star Guardian Xayah, presents Rakan with a more mature appearance than his original look, adding a unique twist to his character. Despite this mature look in the art, his in-game appearance remains unchanged, maintaining his playful essence.
For those seeking variety, three other Star Guardian chromas are available, offering subtle yet impactful variations that enhance his fey feathers and abilities like his grand entrance, adding to the skin's appeal.
iG Rakan
So, Esport skins are usually bad, right? So here we have one that breaks the norm by ranking highly among Rakan skins, thanks to its elegance and sharp design. Released on April 23, 2019, for 1350RP, it stands out for its uniqueness. It works great with some of the best Prestige skins in LoL, but maybe not so much with Xayah's (ironic, right?).
This skin is notable for featuring Rakan in a splash art without Xayah, showcasing him in a majestic manner. The art style employed by Riot Games beautifully captures the essence of Invictus Gaming, making it a coveted skin for fans and players. It's a skin that many wish was available in League of Legends Wild Rift to broaden its appreciation.
Cosmic Dawn Rakan
Cosmic Dawn Rakan is a popular choice for League of Legends and Wild Rift users because of its great design in-game. The splash art may not give it the justice it deserves, but it actually looks really nice when you try it out on Summoner’s Rift. This skin was released on April 18, 2017, and costs 1350RP.
Looking at the Cosmic Dawn Rakan in-game model is really satisfying, especially when you look at his gleaming quills. The skin retains the same charm in the main title when playing in Wild Rift. As a flashy champion, this skin really complements Rakan’s personality to move around the battlefield and keep everyone’s eyes fixated on him.
League of Legends champions don’t often take the spotlight unless they use expensive LoL skins, but Rakan has a way of making anything he has on look extravagant. Cosmic Dawn gives him a unique look that takes him away from the playboy image but doesn’t take away his main appeal.
So, if you are using Rakan as your pick for the best high ELO supports in LoL, this skin will really look best during your grind.
Sweetheart Rakan
Sweetheart Rakan is the final skin on my list. As a champion specifically made as one-half of a romantic duo, it wouldn’t be complete to add the Valentine’s Day exclusive skin to this list. This skin was officially released on February 12, 2018, and costs 1350RP.
Both Sweetheart Rakan and Sweetheart Xayah depict the romantic side of Valentine’s Day. And well, this wasn’t really shown in a lot of the other skins from this series because most of them weren’t a part of a real romantic relationship. However, Rakan and Xayah aren’t shy in showing the world their love for one another, which can be felt right away just by looking at the splash art.
Rakan looks adorable in this skin but doesn’t look as dashing as his image on the splash art, but that’s fine. The vastayan gives every other male League of Legends champion a run for their money as he dashes forward to create a grand entrance that suits his explosive personality.
