Master is the seventh rank in League of Legends. Most of these players are among the game’s elite, and a lot of them compete on the Esports scene. Players in this tier are extremely good and have an excellent understanding of champions, drafting, and teamfighting. This tier is between Diamond and Grand Master.
Is Master good?
Master League of Legends gamers are among the top 1 percentile of all the players. Better yet, if you were in a room with 100 other League of Legends gamers, you should defeat about 99 other gamers.
There is very little that can be said about a Master’s skillset. Most of them know how to play every champion at an extremely high level. In fact, some of those who specialize in certain champions might be the best players in the game for that particular character.
At this tier, players are actively involved in the Esports scene. Some of them have become casters and have taken other notable positions within the community. A lot of them are household names. Needless to say, lots of League of Legends streamers and Youtubers are from Master tier and above.
How many hours do you need to play LOL to become Master?
Simply put, your odds of becoming a Master are very slim. Saying that you would need a certain number of hours to play in order to get to this level of competition can be a bit generous. The truth is, there are even veterans with 10+ years of experience who have never reached the Master’s level.
A gamer who is truly talented and dedicated might be able to reach Master after 2,500+ hours of gameplay. For some, it might come much quicker. But, even if you never reach Master, you should still enjoy the League of Legends experience, as you can also have an amazing gaming experience in the Platinum and Diamond tier.
Ways to improve from Master
Although Master is an extremely high rank, it isn’t the best one. In fact, it leaves a lot of room for progress. While being a Master is exclusive, and most people on this level are professionals, they do not represent the uppermost tiers of the game.
Getting from this tier to the next one usually has to do with the mental aspects of the game. A gamer in this tier should know everything about League of Legends, but mental lapses might prompt him or her to lose games.
While most people have little room for improvement, here are a few things you might wish to focus on if you wish to reach Grand Master:
- Keep your body in shape. While this might sound silly to some people, having enough energy to compete is paramount. Constantly playing on this level can be fatiguing, and you might feel it on your body. So, for optimal results, try to rest your mind and body whenever you can.
- Think about communication. Everyone in this tier knows what they’re doing. But, due to lack of communication, the other team might just be better than your team. Talking, and being proactive can go a long way.
