EvoBet is a licensed esports betting site, but its online reviews raise some flags, as do online forum posts from EvoBet's former users. The reputation of EvoBet isn't that great, and we must also touch on its popularity, which according to similarweb, shows anywhere between 10k-40k monthly visits.

But while some things can make you feel hesitant to create an account with EvoBet, the site has been operating for a long time, so it has to be doing something right. Likewise, it's unlikely for an esports bookie to operate for so long if it wasn't legit, so we can say that EvoBet is a legit esports bookie – albeit with an asterisk, which we will touch on below.

Like many other esports betting sites, EvoBet has a special promotion ready for all new customers in the form of a welcome bonus. But not only does EvoBet have a welcome bonus, but it has three different variations – for casino, live casino, and sportsbook.

All three are matched deposit bonuses, but they differ in the amount of money they award. The casino bonus is a 130% matched deposit up to €1,000; the live casino is a 75% matched deposit up to €300; while the sportsbook bonus is a 100% matched deposit up to €150.

And the best part is that you don't need any bonus codes to claim it. Instead, you simply need to make a deposit on the site and complete the requirements.

To claim EvoBet's welcome bonus, you don’t need a bonus code since there is none, but you need to follow three simple steps:

Unfortunately, there aren't that many promotions available, and they provide a clear lack of variety. Besides the three welcome bonuses, EvoBet had only five other open during our testing – three of which were "reload bonuses" for sports, casino, and live casino, and the remaining two included slots and live casino cashback.

So as an esports bettor, you at least have reload bonuses, right? Well, that's not necessarily the case. The aforementioned "Sports Reload Bonus", which grants you 40% extra betting money on your deposits (up to €100), counts only for bets on football, tennis, and basketball. That isn't clearly specified, but it is written in the conditions. Moreover, bets on handicaps and draw no bet do not count for football and basketball, which is just a terrible rule.

We contacted customer support to inquire whether EvoBet has any or will have any bonuses and promotions for esports bettors. And unfortunately, the answer was a no, meaning that those who wish to bet on esports at EvoBet don't have any bonuses available for them. Obviously, there is a welcome bonus, but you won't be able to grab it if you're betting solely on esports. That's unfortunate, but EvoBet is not the only website with this problem (Duelbits)

All in all, as an esports bettor, you are not eligible for a single bonus or promotion on EvoBet. As such, a 1/5 rating is more than justifiable.

Reputation & Safety (2.5/5)

EvoBet's reputation is not great, nor is it very good, seeing how EvoBet averages an abysmal 1.8 rating on the review sites. Interestingly 90% of all reviews are 1-star ratings while the remaining 10% are 5-star ratings, which is a peculiar ratio. We're not saying that 10% of the reviews are fake, but there is a reason why nine out of ten people seem not to like using EvoBet.

We did more digging into EvoBet, the company behind it, and its betting license and found out that EvoBet is a Russian bookie. Not to sound xenophobic, but history has taught us that most bookies related to Russian companies or individuals are very shady and rarely to be trusted. Further investigation revealed two more things, including that the company that runs EvoBet is the same company that owns Campeonbet, which, similarly to EvoBet, is not a very respected gambling site.

The negative reviews on both esports bookies also claim the same problems – issues withdrawing money and unnecessary delays when requesting a payout. Some users even claimed that the bookies never paid, which is a concerning trend on two separate sites with the same owner.

Moreover, EvoBet used to be authorised by Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) (like 10Bet) but lost the license after MGA figured out irregularities in EvoBet's operations and did not obey Malta's business laws. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find more accurate information on what exactly EvoBet did to lose the license; besides that EvoBet failed to comply with "one-or-more applicable obligations."

EvoBet now owns an Antillephone NV license, which is at least something but does not provide much security to its users and is one of the least trustworthy licenses out there. There's a reason why EvoBet lost the MGA license but could obtain the Antillephone license.

EvoBet technically operates legally, so we're giving it a 2.5-star rating. But since it's owned by the same company that runs other shady websites, has plenty of negative online reviews, and has lost the MGA license, it's hard to justify giving it a higher rating. Our best advice is to proceed with caution with this esports bookie.

Esports Markets and Odds & Betting Features (4/5)

EvoBet is not exclusively an esports betting site, but it does a surprisingly good job covering esports. During our testing, we have found esports betting markets on most major esports titles, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Dota 2, Call of Duty, StarCraft, Kings of Glory, and Valorant, so as far as including prominent esports titles go, EvoBet deserves a thumbs up. Granted, it was missing Rocket League and Rainbow Six.

EvoBet even provides a nice selection of different bet types, and while the offer is not exceptional, it does include moneyline, handicaps, totals, and a couple of proposition bets, so there’s enough variety.

The quality of betting odds on EvoBet is decent and can easily be compared to Rivalry, Marathonbet, or any other solid esports betting site. After looking through most of EvoBet's offers and comparing the odds to other esports betting sites, we have found nothing that would suggest EvoBet's odds quality is any worse than what you would find elsewhere.

EvoBet's esports betting offer is very decent, with solid market selection and competitive betting odds. That does not make up for the lack of esports bonuses, but it at least ensures that any esports bettors can wager with fair prices. Unfortunately, we have to deduct a point because EvoBet’s coverage is not as good as that of BetOnline, LOOT.BET, or other prominent esports bookies, which also provide markets for Rainbow Six, Rocket League, Warcraft, and other titles.

If you're a Dota 2 bettor, you should enjoy betting on EvoBet. This esports bookie has a solid offer of all bigger Dota 2 tournaments and fairly competitive prices, so it won't be hard to find value bets.

Moreover, EvoBet also has Dota 2 live betting available and a surprisingly generous selection of in-play markets. Interestingly, the in-play odds on EvoBet are just as good as that on ThunderPick, suggesting they have the same odds provider.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting offer on EvoBet is just as good – if not better than its Dota 2 coverage. While testing the site, we found coverage of 10 different CS:GO tournaments, including the currently running and upcoming events.

If we compare EvoBet's coverage of CS:GO events to its competition, it might seem like EvoBet's isn't that good, knowing that 1bet had at the time 17 CS:GO tournaments listed. However, unlike 1bet and Babibet, EvoBet offers betting odds on all games and does so extremely – by providing various markets, including moneyline, handicaps, totals, props, and more.

So compared to other esports sportsbooks, EvoBet prioritizes quality over quantity, and that’s fine.

League of Legends Betting

When we say League of Legends bettors will enjoy betting on their favorite esports on EvoBet, we mean it. This esports bookie covers all LoL tournaments, from the major leagues to minor regions and even academy leagues. That might not seem like a big deal, but you would be surprised to know how many esports bookies failed to do so.

Moreover, the odds quality on LoL is fairly solid, and you won't struggle to find competitive betting markets on any LoL match you wish to bet on. All in all, EvoBet’s offer of LoL betting markets deserves a huge thumbs up from us.

Besides CS:GO, Dota 2, and LoL, EvoBet also covers Kings of Glory, StarCraft, Valorant, and Call of Duty. But it is missing Rainbow Six and Rocket League, which is somewhat disappointing.

User Experience (4/5)

We talked about EvoBet's excellent coverage of esports tournaments, so as far as the availability of betting markets and odds quality is concerned, EvoBet has you covered. We did not discuss the live streaming options above, but we can ensure you that EvoBet has live streaming, which only adds to the excellent esports betting experience.

However, you must manually enable the streams by clicking on "Live" games, navigating to esports, and enabling the "Streaming" options. Once you do,  the live stream will be located on the right side, with the available in-play markets displayed on the left, making it very easy to place live bets if you wish to do so.

That, however, is not the only example where EvoBet has done a fine job making your betting experience as enjoyable as possible. The site is well made; it's not flashy and works nicely. We have encountered some things we did not like, namely that going back from the in-play site redirects you to the home page, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Unfortunately, while the site is well designed and has all the features you would want to see, EvoBet does not have a mobile betting app. You can still access the site from your mobile browser and bet there without any issues, but we would like to see a mobile app to justify giving it a higher rating.

Nevertheless, EvoBet desktop and mobile sites work well. In addition, they have added settings that make your experience more enjoyable, such as a default stake for faster betting, notifications when odds change, and the ability to change the odds format and language.

Customer Support (3/5)

If you wish to get in contact with EvoBet's customer support, you have two options – either you write an email ([email protected]) or contact the support agents via a live chat. Both options are displayed in the bottom right corner of the page and are accessible with a simple click of a button, but know that the live chat option is not available 24/7, but instead only between 9:00 - 1:00 CET.

We tested the live chat feature, and we got connected with an agent fairly quickly - most of the time. To ensure quality and consistency, we used EvoBet's live chat feature on three separate days, and on two of them, we got a response within a minute. Unfortunately, we had an experience when we connected with an agent, but he needed nearly 10 minutes to respond, so consistency isn't EvoBet's strongest trait.

Instead of contacting EvoBet's customer support, you can always check the FAQ section and look for answers there. But don't be surprised if it doesn’t provide you with the answer you're looking for. Admittedly, EvoBet has a FAQ section, but it's poorly made, and extremely basic, and it seems like it's there only because it has to be.

All in all, EvoBet's customer support isn't terrible, but it's not great either. As such, it deserves a 3/5 rating.

Deposits & Withdrawal Options (3/5)

Depositing and withdrawing money from EvoBet is fairly straightforward, and there are enough options available for a regular user. We found 14 different deposit options during our testing, including MasterCard, American Express, CashToCode, Jeton, MiFinity, Neosurf, NETELLER, Skrill, Rapid PaySafeCard, and even a few crypto options with BitcoinCash, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin.

The withdrawal options are more limited, with only eight methods in a bank transfer, Jeton, MiFinity, Skrill, BitcoinCash, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin. Evidently, EvoBet's banking options are solid if you're a crypto bettor, but the limited withdrawal options are a slight inconvenience for the rest of esports bettors who don’t use crypto.

EvoBet claims that its withdrawals are processed within 72 hours unless further review is required. But, based on the online reviews, EvoBet will use their right to "further review" most withdrawal requests, so we would take their claim of a 72-hour processing time with a grain of salt. 

EvoBet has a decent – but not great – selection of banking options, whereas the processing times can vary. For that, EvoBet deserves a rating of 3/5, which correctly represents the quality of its banking department.

EvoBet Casino (3/5)

Besides offering sports and esports betting, EvoBet also offers a solid selection of casino games. We weren't able to find out the exact number of games available on this bookie, but since it has over 60 game providers, it's fair to say that there's enough variety to keep anyone entertained. Not as good as on Stake, but definitely good enough.

We liked the fact that you can test out the games for free, which is, surprisingly, a feature not all gambling sites have. Likewise, the live casino section is well-made, and there are all the games you would expect to see – from baccarat, roulette, poker, various versions of blackjack, and wheel jackpots.

Even though EvoBet's casino offer is solid, we can't give it a high rating since it does not have a provably fair system. There is a special section of the site dedicated to explaining how all the casino games are fair, approved by Curaçao eGaming Authorities, and use Random Number Generator (RNG) to determine the outcomes. Still, there is no way for you to check whether the games were fair.

As much as we would like to give EvoBet a solid rating for its casino offer, we have to see a provably fair system on the site before recommending it to our readers.
