Therefore, let's check out the offer of PureVPN, which has been on this market for a decade and a half and is one of the most trusted VPN providers on the market.

Before reading this review, note that the games we tested PureVPN with were Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Teamfight Tactics, Rocket League, Halo Infinite, CoD Warzone, World Of Tanks, Minecraft, League Of Legends, Rainbow Six:Siege, Dota 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Fortnite, Valorant, Overwatch and Rust 2.
Pricing (4.5/5)
PureVPN offers an excellent pricing offer. The cheapest plan (two-year) starts from as low as $1.99 per month, which is considerably cheaper in comparison to other VPN services, including ExpressVPN.

We know that the screenshot shows that this is a New Year's deal, but grabbing PureVPN services at such a price is not uncommon. The annual offer is also quite attractive ($2.99 per month) and unfortunately, we have to say that the monthly one is unfortunately not the best.
However, thanks to the 31-day money-back guarantee program, you have a kind of security that you won't throw your money down the drain if you don't like the software, or it turns out to be useless in your case.

Reputation among gamers (5/5)
PureVPN has a pretty good reputation overall, although there aren't many reviews from gamers on the internet. But hey, that's not a problem because other people use VPN software for similar purposes as we do!

First of all, users praise the sense of security against DDoS attacks, various options to change the server location, stable possibility to unblock region-locked content, and no perceptible decrease in internet connection speed. And even though most PureVPN users are not gamers, the features they praise this particular VPN provider for are very valuable to us, and that's why we're giving a 5/5 rating here.
Performance in Video Games (3/5)
We personally evaluate PureVPN performance in games as "okay"(definitely worse than using IPVanish or TorGuard), although we noted significant drops in download speed and felt like some servers were a little unstable. Similar, but less noticeable issues than with ZenMate and NordVPN.

For example, when we connected to the nearest server, our ping increased only by 5. However, when we connected to the Czech Republic server (which is popular among online gambling enthusiasts) from which we were only about 1000 km away, we already noticed a significant drop in performance.

As with many other VPN providers, we expect that not all servers guarantee us the same quality; there are better and worse ones. And for this server instability and drops in download speed, we'll deduct 2 rating points. Other than that, everything was pretty much fine and fit into the current VPN software standards.
Numbers of locations (5/5)
At the time of writing this review, PureVPN offered 6500 servers in 78 countries with 96 different locations to choose from, and their offer is generally very similar to Cyberghost VPN in terms of supported locations (we would even like to say identical).

Moreover, you have access to over 300000 different IP addresses, and just a reminder - it's all for only $1.99 per month in a two-year plan. The only thing we complain about is the lack of consistency in server stability, but we've already punished them for that in our performance, and we won't take away any rating points here. Their server offer is top-notch, and we can't take that away from them.
Customer Support (5/5)
One thing that is also top-notch about PureVPN is its customer support. Honestly, this is probably the best one of all the ones we have tested. They have people there who answer your questions promptly and are really helpful.

We talked to employees named Riley and Austin, who we also talked to and solved our problems within minutes. PureVPN also has tons of helpful articles that address various issues, which is another standard any VPN provider should have on their website.
So, PureVPN has its pros and cons. Outstanding offer, super helpful customer support, if only their gaming performance was a bit better… We don't feel like this is the most stable VPN for gaming compared to the competition, but with how cheap their offer is, it might be worth trying out, especially since you have access to a 31-day money-back guarantee program.
