Is Rivalry Legit [Rivalry Esports Review]
Is Rivalry Legit?
Rivalry is a relatively new platform on the esports betting market, but after testing it, we are confident to say that it is legit and safe to use.
It’s associated with a legitimate business registered in the Isle of Man, plus it has a gambling license.
Even though it's been running only since 2019, it has gathered a very large number of users, which we can see by looking at their website traffic. Moreover, the website comes with a valid padlock (SSL) and Cloudflare DDoS protection, ensuring that all the data between the website and web browser is encrypted, and the website is protected from DDoS attacks.
So yes, Rivalry is safe – but is it worth it? Look further into our Rivalry Esports review to find that out.
Despite its short operation in the esports betting market, Rivalry already boasts a pretty good reputation. It's worth looking at their profile on Trustpilot, where in fact, most of the reviews are positive, and the negative ones are often a result of people using the site despite country restrictions or technical errors.
Rivalry has also repeatedly sponsored high-profile esports teams such as Fnatic, BOOM Esports, and FURIA, and you wouldn't expect such large organizations to choose to partner with a company with poor PR. Its reputation might not be perfect, but it's better than most other esports betting sites, especially 22bet and NoxWin.
Odds & Betting Options (5/5)
Rivalry supports all the most popular esports titles. We can indeed find some attractive esports odds there, but especially for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, R6S, and Dota 2.
Moreover, the website also supports a live betting system where the odds change in real-time. We also like the possibility to bet on the winner of a given map instead of the whole match, but it's a bit hard to catch some good odds that way.
So, Rivalry meets all the standards, covers all the essential esports games, and there is a chance for some attractive odds – that's an easy 5/5.
Rivalry Esports Bonus (5/5)
But is their bonus as attractive as their odds? Actually, yes. Rivalry offers a welcome bonus that allows you to double your first deposit. This is an increasingly popular method used by betting sites to encourage new users to try their services. However, note that the maximum amount of money you can deposit is $100 (like on Luckbox), which is lower than on Galaxy.bet ($200).
To claim it, just use the “WELCOME100” code when making your first deposit on Rivalry. One important thing to note is that you can only use your bonus funds to make bets of odds that are a minimum of 1.5. Still, Rivalry does a good job offering bonuses and promotions and can easily compare to other bookmakers with great offers, such as Sportsbet.io.
User Experience (3/5)
So, we really like all the features that Rivalry offers, and we also can't say a bad word about the way they are presented to us. The user interface is very clear and easy to understand for people who are just starting their adventure with match betting. Moreover, the process of depositing and withdrawing money is much less complicated than at other esports betting sites. However, we must mention the vast restrictions that prevent the site from being used in many countries.
Even if you plan on using a VPN, we wouldn't count on it working in the long run. Rivalry has a very long identity verification process that is really hard to fool.
Unlike other betting sites which turn a blind eye to this and even offer language versions for theoretically unsupported countries, Rivalry is very strict in this matter.
The list of supported countries is really short, and it is much easier to find a country where this site does not work.
So, we really like the features, odds, and design, but we don't like the fact that hardly any people can actually benefit from it. Another negative point is that we found that the betting website doesn’t work smoothly on Firefox during our tests.
Customer Support (5/5)
Customer support on Rivalry meets all standards. We have two options to contact the site – via email or 24/7 live chat, where they respond almost instantly in both cases. They also have prepared a very extensive FAQ section that covers many potential problems that users can encounter. The FAQ section itself is very useful and many sites (like EvoBet) could learn from it.
We can't say a bad word – good job, Rivalry, it's a 5/5 from us.
Deposits & Withdrawals (3.5/5)
Unfortunately, Rivalry does not support the most popular payment options such as PayPal, Cryptocurrencies or G2A Pay.
Besides, they divide users into three types – Unverified, Verified, and Enchanted, for which each of them has a special deposit limit. Rivalry also supports only 11 withdrawal options, where notables are Bank transfer, credit cards, Skrill, Neteller, and Qiwi. It is not the most attractive offer on the market, and although all payments go through smoothly, we cannot give a higher rating than 3,5/5.
All in all, we think that Rivalry.com is a great choice if you consider to bett on your favorite esport team.
