From our experience, we have found some pretty great deals on SkinBaron. If you compare the prices between DMarket and SkinBaron, they are very close to the same price, although SkinBaron will always aim for 1-2€ cheaper depending on the skin float. 

We found a Monster Mashup skin for a nice float of 0.1168 at €15.69. If you compared the float to DMarket's options, most skins were settling around €16.50 or higher for a float minimum of 0.130. 

In other well-known marketplaces such as Skinport, the same skin was running at an even higher price of at least €17 or more, which was the average for this float stance. 

Overall, you can find some hidden gems in SkinBaron, which is quite useful for those looking into some great skins. Do keep in mind they do have a purchase fee at the end of each payment, which contributes to the total price of the skin. This is just like any other marketplace, though, and SkinBaron provides, from our experience, one of the lowest fees.

One of the most stocked selections known in SkinBaron is the knife selection. Due to the low 2% seller's fee, many sellers and gamers use SkinBaron for all of their expensive skins to earn the maximum amount for their rare skins.

User Experience (4/5)

Overall the user experience in SkinBaron is pleasant and easy to navigate but highly outdated. The frontal interface seems not to have been updated since 2015, lacking a modern and sleek look compared to other marketplaces such as Skinport and LootBear.  

Besides the lack of updates, the website is smooth and does not cause any lag during the purchase or selling processes. It was one of the most smooth purchases of a CS:GO skin we have experienced so far.

Signing up for SkinBaron is also relatively easy, as you have to link your Steam account with the platform. If you have Steam on your PC, you can automatically be signed into SkinBaron, which is relatively smooth and one of the easiest sign-ups on the market.

SkinBaron offers support by creating a ticket to chat with an agent. Although it is not considered live chat, the agent's response time is swift, and we received assistance within a few minutes after our initial ticket opening. We have an example below when one of our card issuers was blocking our payment from going through:

This is the only way to get immediate contact with SkinBaron for an issue that may arise. They do not respond on social media to issues regarding orders, and it is best always to use their ticketing system. For some, this might be a frustration.

Overall the support is amicable, helpful, and quick to respond to any inquiries you may have, which is a plus for such a well-known website!

Like a few other marketplaces like Skinport, SkinBaron does not offer the Paypal option for purchases. This can cause a few issues with payment (as we proved above) with card issuers and contacting banks to ensure the investment is not to be blocked. 

Besides this, you do have other options, such as Google Pay and PaySafe Card, which can help avoid the bank's restrictions. From our experience, the Wise MasterCard works with no issues and immediate payment transfer.
