Find out everything You need to know about the Champion 3 rank in Rocket League (MMR & is Champion 3 good?)
What is Champion III in Rocket League?
Champion III is the highest champion ranking placement in Rocket League located between Champion 2 and Grand Champion 1. This rank is the rank before a player enters what we would call, the elite ranks in Rocket Leagues. This is the rank where players must find the flaws in their game and iron them out, as any clear weakness in the ranks above this one will be found and exploited fast. This rank is filled with excellent players with heaps of ability and the real defining factors that will dictate if a player rises higher than this will be dedication and consistency.
What is The MMR For Champion III?
To become a Champion III player in Rocket League your MMR needs to be approximately between 1314 – 1419 MMR depending on the game mode you play in matchmaking. Below you can find the range of Champion III players and their various MMR rankings depending on which game mode they are playing:
Is Champion III a Good rank?
Yes, champion III is an incredible rank to achieve. Champion III is divided into four divisions and makes up about 0.40% of all Rocket League players. Including the ranks below, this makes Champion III players rank in the top 0,77% of all players, including unranked players. It shows that you aren’t just someone that happens to be good at the game. You are someone that has worked hard to get where you need to be. You have put in the hours to be regarded as one of the finest players in the game and you can do some incredible things with a controller in your hand. However, we still feel that this rank is ever so slightly below elite level. So you’ll need to break into GC if you want to be regarded as an elite player.
How Many Hours to Achieve Champion III?
To be a player that is right on the verge of becoming a member of the elite Rocket League community. You will need to be one of the most talented and experienced players to play the game. You’ll need to develop a playstyle that is bulletproof and consistently put in performances that are worthy of praise and respect from peers. To do this, we reckon anywhere from 2000 hours of play time is a must.
How to Improve from Champion III
Here are a number of things that players can do to rise up the ranks and improve their game when ranked in Champion III:
- Teamwork is essential at this level. So approach every attack with the mindset that if your teammate is in a better position than you, pass the ball. Going it alone may have somehow got you this far but that won’t get you any further.
- Connecting with the ball is also essential. Missing the ball entirely is something that seldom happens at this level. So if you do, you’ll be the weak link. So be sure to train and practice connecting with even the most tricky of high balls and achieve aerial dominance.
- Rotation becomes a lot more contextual at this stage. No longer does one set of rules cover all scenarios. The speed of play is rapid from here on up the ranks, so you’ll need to have your rotation down to a fine art or suffer the consequences.
- Play at speed, you need to improve your reaction times and aim to be the first one on the ball always. So don’t dwell, waiting for situations to develop, be on the front foot and dictate the play.
