Stick is a super important item in Minecraft because it’s a material for many essential recipes like tools and torches. Crafting Stick is super easy and the material cost is fairly cheap too!

• 2x Planks (Any wood type) OR 2x Bamboo

How to craft Stick in Minecraft

#1 Collect 2x Planks

You can get Planks from any type of Log. With 1x Log you can get 4x Planks.

Planks (any type) can be naturally generated throughout the world. You can find them in Mineshafts, Villages, Strongholds, Woodland Mansions, Shipwrecks, Ruins, Pillager Outposts, and Swamp Huts.

Go to step 4 if you already have 2x Planks.

#2 Collect 2x Bamboo

Bamboo is a green plant that grows in the Jungle biome. You can find them easily because their color is stand out from the greenery of the forest. Remember to use an Axe or Sword to break Bamboo faster.

You can kill pandas for Bamboo too! Each Panda will drop 1x on death (up to 4x for Looting III)

Bamboo can also be found by fishing in the Jungle biome. They have a 0.4-0.9% chance to be caught.

Finally, Bamboo can be found in looted chests in Jungle Temple and Shipwreck. They usually contain 1-3x Bamboo.

Go to step 4 if you already have 2x Bamboo.

#3 Other Ways to Get Stick

You can go fishing for Stick with a 0.2-0.5% chance.

Witch drop 0-6x Stick on death, and up to 15x Stick if you have Looting III.

Dead bushes and Leaves have a decent chance to drop 0-2x Stick when destroyed.

And if you want to go for the hunt, Sticks can be found in looted chests within a Village. They normally contain 1-3x Stick with a 26-90% chance.

#4 Finish off crafting a Stick

When you have either 2x Planks or 2x Bamboo, put them in a crafting grid with one item at the top slot, and the other one below it. You should get 4x Sticks from the result panel.
