#1 Collect 8x Planks

You can craft 4x Planks by putting either 1x Log/Stripped Log/Wood/Stripped Wood in the crafting grid. The type of planks will depend on the type of wood you use.

#2 Finish off crafting a Chest

When you have 8x Planks, right-click a Crafting Table and put them in the crafting grid, leave the middle slot empty to craft 1x Chest.

You can also find chests generated naturally in most Minecraft structures. Some of them are dungeons, strongholds, villages, temples, woodland mansions, shipwrecks, and many more!
