Though I’ve been giving Bitskins a lot of praise, they definitely charge a lot for their excellent services. LootFarm

My friend, who is experienced in buying and selling Dota 2 items, recommended me to LootFarm.

In my opinion, LootFarm has the most outdated website design of all the websites on the list, and looks like the design hasn't been updated since 2015. 

The good thing about LootFarm is they support a wide selection of Steam Games, including Rust, TF2, and CS2, on top of Dota 2. If you have excess items in the games mentioned, you can trade them for Dota 2 items or give your LootFarm wallet a boost.

When I tried buying items on LootFarm, I found myself scratching my head as the prices of their Dota 2 items were higher than those of the other websites on the list. However, these actual prices do not seem as high, as users receive 20-30% bonuses on their deposits, which helps cover the high prices.

Since you’re dealing with Valve, the Steam Marketplace is the most secure place to buy Dota 2 items. Though this would already attract users to purchase items on the Steam Market, it comes with two major drawbacks that make buyers seek third-party alternatives.

First, money in your Steam Wallet cannot be withdrawn from your Steam account, so it is stuck there forever. Depositing funds to your Steam Wallet is extremely easy and convenient, but there is no way to get those funds back in case you want to cash out your Dota 2 items.

Next, the Steam Marketplace has a 15% fee on sellers. Though the fee is not on the buyer, it indirectly affects them, as sellers will mark up prices to cover the fees, increasing the overall prices of Dota 2 items on the platform.

Still, if you buy items on the Steam Market, you won’t be disappointed with the website's security and number of items. The Steam Market is filled with market statistics that help buyers make educated purchases and compare prices. The site also has amazing filtering tools to go through the thousands of listed items.

If you’re not someone who keeps their items for years, I recommend against using the Steam Marketplace to buy Dota 2 skins.
