How to craft Blue Dye in Minecraft
#1 Collect 1x Lapis Lazuli
Lapis Lazuli is the only mineral that has a blue color. It’s mostly used for enchanting and rarely for decoration. You can get 4-9x Lapis Lazuli by mining Lapis Lazuli ore with a Pickaxe.
You can trade 1x Emerald with the Cleric villager to get 1x Lapis Lazuli.
Another way to get Lapis Lazuli is to find looted chests in Mineshaft, Shipwreck, and Village. They have a chance to contain 1-10x Lapis Lazuli.
If you already have a Block of Lapis Lazuli, you can put it in the crafting grid to get 9x Lapis Lazuli.
The final way is to smelt a Lapis Lazuli ore, but we would not recommend it since doing it this way only yield 1x Lapis Lazuli.
#2 Collect 1x Cornflower
You can find Cornflower spawn naturally in those biomes: Plains, Sunflower Plains, Flower Forest, and Meadow.
You can also use Bone Meal to make the plants grow, including the Cornflower with a small chance.
#3 Finish off crafting a Blue Dye
When you have either 1x Lapis Lazuli or 1x Cornflower, simply put them in the crafting grid to get 1x Blue Dye. No Crafting Table is required.
