To craft a gray dye, you have to place 1x black dye in the first box and 1x white dye in the 2nd box of the first row. This is the latest recipe that will get you 2x gray dye in Minecraft. You can repeat the process again and again to get maximum gray dyes. But make sure you place the dyes on exact points as we mentioned.

Open Crafting Table

First of all, go near the crafting table and open it by right-clicking. This will show a 3x3 crafting grid on your screen as you can see in the image below. If you don't know how to get a crafting table you can follow our guide here

Place Items on the crafting table

Now, Just place 1x black dye on the first box of the first row and 1x white dye on the 2nd box of the same row on the 3x3 crafting table as shown in the picture below.

Make sure you follow the position of the dyes as we mentioned because this is the latest recipe for gray dyes and won't work if you play with the positions.

Move Gray Dye In Inventory

This method will give you 2x gray dyes and all you need to do is drag and drop them into your inventory.
