Everything you need to make Purple Dye
Purple Dye is a secondary dye in Minecraft. It can only be crafted by using primary dye color or by trading with the wandering trader. But still, the recipe is fairly easy to craft.
- 1x Red Dye
- 1x Blue Dye
- OR 1x Emerald
How to craft Purple Dye in Minecraft
#1 Collect 1x Red Dye
You can craft 1x Red Dye by using 1x Poppy, Red Tulip, or Beetroot.
You can also use 1x Rose Bush to craft 2x Red Dye.
Another way is to trade 1x Emerald with the wandering trader for 3x Red Dye.
#2 Collect 1x Blue Dye
Blue Dye can be crafted by using 1x Lapis Lazuli or Cornflower. You can obtain Lapis Lazuli by breaking or smelting Lapiz Lazuli ore.
For Cornflower, you can find them in Plains, Sunflower Plains, Flower Forest, and Meadow biome.
#3 Collect 1x Emerald
Emerald can be obtained by breaking or smelting Emerald Ore. You can find Emerald ore in mountain biomes.
Alternatively, you can make a trading system using Villagers and trade for Emeralds.
#4 Finish off crafting a Purple Dye
When you have 1x Red Dye and 1x Blue Dye, put them together in the crafting grid (no Crafting Table needed) to get 2x Purple Dye.
If you have 1x Emerald, you can also trade it with the Wandering trader for 3x Purple Dye.
