How to craft Stone Sword in Minecraft

#1 Collect 1x Stick

Stick can be easily crafted by using 2x Planks of any wood type or 2x Bamboo. 2x Planks yield 4x Stick and 2x Bamboo yield 1x Stick.

Stick can also be found by breaking Leaves and Dead Bushes block. They each 0-2x Stick.

You can also find Stick by looting chest in the Village. They contain 1-12x Stick.

Killing witches and going fishing is another option to get a Stick.

#2 Collect 2x Cobblestone/Blackstone/Cobbled Deepslate

You can get Cobblestone by mining Stone with a non-Silk Touch enchantment pickaxe. They will drop 1x Cobblestone each.

Cobblestone can also be found naturally in structures like Dungeons, Temples, Pillager Outposts, Strongholds, and Woodland Mansions.

You can also other variations of Cobblestone like Blackstone or Cobbled Deepslate. Blackstone is a stone that is only generated in the Nether dimension.

Cobbled Deepslate can be obtained by mining Deepslate with a pickaxe. You can only find Deepslate deep underground so we’d recommend mining Stone.

#3 Finish off crafting a Stone Sword

When you have 1x Stick and 2x Cobblestone, right-click any Crafting Table and put the Stick at the bottom, then place 2x Cobblestone in the same column with the Stick to craft 1x Stone Sword.

Another hard way to get Stone Sword is to kill Wither Skeletons. They have an 8.5% chance to drop 1x Stone Sword, increase up to 11.5% with Looting III enchantment.
