When the copper blocks are left in the open, they eventually deteriorate and turn into greenish copper blocks. This happens due to the oxidization process, which occurs in the real world. You can stop this process by using a honeycomb on the block.

How to craft weathered cut copper in Minecraft

Crafting copper ingots

Just like any other ore in the game, Copper can also be found in the underground of the Minecraft overworld. Copper is found in large quantities near the surface. The image above shows that you can smelt copper ore or raw copper to get copper ingots.

Crafting copper block

Use the copper ingots to craft the copper block, as shown in the image above. Now for the next step, we will need weathered copper blocks. Keep your copper block out in the open and wait until they reach stage 3, the weathered copper stage.
