How to Stream Call of Duty on Twitch [From any Device]

How To Set Up Your Twitch Account

Although you can stream almost anything on Twitch, the most popular type of streaming has almost always been game streaming.

Aside from having enough storage space for the download size of COD Warzone, the first thing you'll need to stream on the Twitch app is a Twitch account - here's how you get one.

Twitch Home Screen

  1. First, head to the Twitch App website and click on the "sign up" button in the top right corner of the page
  2. Here, you'll need to enter an email address, username, and password, before clicking on create an account
  3. Next, you must verify your email address by clicking on the verification link Twitch sends to your inputted email
  4. And you're basically there! Once verified you can log in to your Twitch account and start editing your profile in the settings menu, or start streaming.
  5. To start streaming straight away, just click the start streaming button on your Twitch dashboard. A new page will open where you can choose your streaming software (depending on your COD game, console, or other factors) and then boom, you're live!

Twitch Start Streaming

You may be live, but that doesn't necessarily mean your broadcast settings or COD Warzone graphics settings are right, and if you don't select broadcast gameplay you may well just be live streaming your laptop camera, rather than game streaming.

Here are all the ways to do Call of Duty streaming from your devices, whether it's from your PC, PlayStation, or Xbox.

How To Stream Twitch From Your PC

Unlike consoles, PCs typically don't come with good game capture software built in, luckily there are plenty of free screen capture software apps that you can download, and they only take a few steps to start streaming with.

OBS is an extremely popular choice, although other options are available such as Bandicam and Streamlabs. We recommend OBS (because it's free, easy, and endorsed by Twitch), although you can also download the Twitch Studio App, however it is only available on Windows and is currently in Beta.

Here's what you need to do:

Twitch Creator Dashboard

  1. First, launch the Twitch App and go to your Creator Dashboard.
  2. Next, click the three bars in the top left corner of your screen and select Streaming Tools from the drop-down menu
  3. From this page, select the broadcasting software you want to use and download
  4. Once your software is set up and ready, head back to your Creator Dashboard. From the dashboard, select Preferences and then Channel from the drop-down menu
  5. You will now be able to see your primary stream key - make sure to keep this safe and don't share it with others, unless you want them to be able to stream from their mobile device
  6. Copy your personal stream key and enter it into your streaming software (for OBS, go to settings and then stream to enter it)
  7. Finally, all you need to do is load up your Call of Duty and select Display Capture or Game Capture for OBS (or equivalent for others) and boom, you're done!
  8. Just select Start Streaming, make sure you have a stable internet connection, and your software will be linked with Twitch, and you'll be live!

How To Stream Twitch From an Xbox X/S

While you can use extra capture card equipment and mess around with the HDMI cable to stream from the Xbox X/S, you can just as easily stream directly from the console.

So get ready to win some COD Warzone royales (here are some tips on how to win COD Warzone matches), and stream it live, because this is everything you need to do to stream to Twitch from your Xbox X/S Console.

Xbox Twitch Streaming

  1. The first thing you'll need is the Twitch App, so head to the Microsoft Store on your console, search for Twitch, and download it for free
  2. Once downloaded, simply sign into the Twitch App, and you will receive a code to link your console to your account
  3. Head to twitch.tv/activate to enter the code
  4. Enter the Twitch console app and head to Broadcast to customize your stream
  5. Once ready, you can select Start Streaming to go live
  6. Remember to use your mobile device to interact with chat, as you can't stream and chat on Xbox
  7. To stop the stream, just head back to the Twitch Console app, go to Broadcast, and select End Stream.

Of course you can also stream COD mobile on Twitch, which will require you to enable streamer mode inside COD mobile, but for more on those check our in-depth articles.

How to Stream Twitch From A PlayStation 5

Although having a capture card or other streaming equipment is useful for streaming with a PlayStation 5, you actually don't need anything extra to stream on Twitch via your PlayStation.

Here's how you setup Twitch streaming on your PlayStation 5:

Twitch Broadcast on PS5

  1. The first thing gamers need to do is connect your Twitch account to your PS5 account
  2. First, head to your Settings menu on your PlayStation
  3. Next you must select Users and go into Accounts
  4. Inside accounts click Link and then Other Services
  5. Once there, select Twitch and scan a QR code, or head to Twitch.tv/activate to link your accounts
  6. Next, launch whichever Call of Duty you want to stream and press the Create on your DualSense controller and select Broadcast
  7. From Broadcast, select Go Live, and a "Now Broadcasting" message should appear to let you know you have started streaming
  8. When you want to stop streaming, just press the Create button on your DualSense like before press Stop Broadcast on the Broadcast menu
