How To Play CS2 (CSGO) In Stretched Resolution? [NVIDIA & AMD]

Go To Your Video Settings In CS2 (CSGO)

The first step to playing on a stretched resolution in CS2 (CSGO) is to change the in-game settings. So, you will need to launch CS2 (CSGO). Then, go to the Settings menu and make your way to the Video Settings.

Change Your Resolution

Once you’re on your Video Settings menu, you will first select which aspect ratio you want. To play on a stretched resolution, you need to choose between a 16:10 or 4:3 aspect ratio. Most players prefer a CS2 (CSGO) stretched resolution that comes from the 4:3 aspect ratio.

Changing Resolution

After selecting an aspect ratio, you can now select the desired resolution you want to change to. The most-used CS2 (CSGO) stretched resolution among professional players is 1280x960, but it’s all personal preference. Now, save your changes by pressing Apply Changes on the bottom right of the screen.

However, after applying, you will notice that your resolution isn’t stretched and that there are black bars on the side of your screen. Don’t worry; your game is not broken. Follow the next steps to fix it.

Open The NVIDIA Or AMD Control Panel

You will have to go to the Control Panel of your Graphics Card provider. We’ll walk you through both NVIDIA and AMD. If you're playing CS2 (CSGO) without a graphics card, then you won't be able to do this!

For NVIDIA users, press your Windows key and search for “NVIDIA Control Panel”.

For AMD users, press your Windows key and search for “AMD Software”.

For NVIDIA users, under the Scaling settings, click on Full-screen. Make sure CS2 (CSGO) is open while you are doing this! Then, apply your changes, and that’s it! You’re good to go.

Scaling Mode NVIDIA

For AMD users, under Display Options, look for Scaling Mode. Click the drop-down options next to Scaling Mode and change it to Full panel. And there you go! You’re done, too.
