- Open the Minecraft launcher
- Select the "Skins" tab at the top
- Click the "New skin" option
- Select the "Browse" option where it says "Skin File"
- Find and select the skin file you downloaded
- Give the skin a name, and click on "Save & Use" at the bottom right corner
Within the "Skins" tab of the Minecraft launcher, you'll be able to change yourself into all the uploaded and owned skins for the Java edition. How to Change Skins in Minecraft Bedrock Edition
What you'll want to do first before changing your skin in the Minecraft Bedrock edition is to find and get one. There are 2 places you can get Minecraft skins here, and that's in the marketplace or by downloading it from a website. On consoles, you're mostly limited to getting skins from the marketplace.
On PC and Minecraft Pocket Edition it's easier to add a new skin in the game instead of getting it in the marketplace. Now here's how to change your skins in Minecraft Bedrock edition:
- Launch the Minecraft game
- Click on the "Dressing Room" option in the main menu
- Choose your skin here, or click on "Edit Character" to import new skins
- Select the "Classic Skins" option with the multiple characters on the left menu at the top
- Click the "Owned" option and select "Import"
- Find and select the skin you downloaded
