How to craft Blaze Powder in Minecraft

#1 Collect 1x Blaze Rod

The only way to get Blaze Rod in Minecraft is to kill the Blaze, a mob spawn naturally in the Nether dimension. Specifically, in the Nether Fortress structure. It’s a structure built with Nether Bricks.

Each Blaze has a 50% chance to drop 1x Blaze Rod on death, and up to 4x with Looting III sword. It’s recommended to use snowballs or a bow to fight with Blaze because they’re dangerous.

You can make a Blaze farm to get Blaze Rod faster. But remember, Blaze Rod only drops when a Blaze is killed by the player. So make sure to not let your wolf hit the last strike, or do not use any killing mechanism to farm the Blaze.

#2 Finish off crafting a Blaze Powder

When you have 1x Blaze Rod, simply put it in the crafting grid to get 2x Blaze Powder. No Crafting Table is needed.
