Crossbow is a ranged weapon in Minecraft that has more damage and usage than a Bow. You can use Crossbow to fire Fireworks and deal damage with it as well. To craft Crossbow is a little bit difficult since you need to find some Iron Ingots.

• 2x String
• 1x Iron Ingot
• 1x Tripwire Hook

How to craft Crossbow in Minecraft

#1 Collect 3x Stick

Stick can be easily crafted by using 2x Planks of any wood type in the crafting grid. They will give you 4x Stick for each recipe.

#2 Collect 2x String

String can be obtained by killing Spiders and Cave Spiders. They drop 0-2x String on death and up to 5x String with Looting III enchantment.

#3 Collect 1x Iron Ingot

You can get Iron Ingot by smelting Iron Ore, Deepslate Iron Ore, or Raw Iron in the Furnace. They will give 1x Iron Ingot.

Iron Ingot can also be found in chests in most of the generated structures in Minecraft.

#4 Collect 1x Tripwire Hook

You can craft 1x Tripwire Hook using 1x Iron Ingot, 1x Stick, and 1x Planks.

You can also find Tripwire Hook in Jungle temples or by going fishing.

#5 Finish off crafting a Crossbow

When you have every listed above, right-click on any nearby Crafting Table to start crafting Crossbow. First, put the Tripwire Hook in the center, then place 2x String next to each side, and 1x Iron Ingot on top of it. Finally, fill in two slots next to the Iron Ingot with 2x Stick, and put the final Stick in the middle of the bottom row to craft 1x Crossbow.

You can also get a Crossbow by killing Pillagers or Piglins. They have an 8.5% chance to drop 1x Crossbow.

Another way to get Crossbow is to look for chests in Bastion Remnants and Pillager Outposts. They have a medium chance to contain 1x Crossbow.
