Are Minecraft Seeds the Same on Bedrock and Java?

The short answer to whether seeds on Minecraft Bedrock and Java edition are the same is no, they aren't! But seeds on Minecraft Java and Bedrock edition share many similarities when it comes to the world creation after Minecraft patch 1.18. Before that patch, the same seed on both editions couldn't function at all.

If you try to enter a bigger or smaller number that's not in this range, you can try to find your map seed and see that Minecraft will just generate a world with a random seed.
