To make a helmet, you have to place 3x Iron Ingots on the first row and 2x iron ingots on the 1st and 3rd boxes of the 2nd row. This will look like a helmet shape. Now, you can see an iron helmet on the right side of the crafting table. Just drag and drop it into your inventory.

How to craft a helmet

#1 Open a crafting table

First things first, you have to go near the crafting table and open it by right-clicking on it. You will see a 3x3 crafting grid where the whole process is going to take place. If you don't have a crafting table just read our guide on how to craft one.

To complete this project, 5x iron ingots are needed. You can get it naturally or use our guide on how to craft iron ingots. The iron golem can also be smelted to produce iron ingots.

#2 Place Items on the crafting table

Now on the very first row, there should be 3x iron ingots (1x on each box). In the very next row, there should be 2x iron ingots (i.e 1x on the first box and 1x on the 3rd box of that row).

Make sure you stick with the position as shown in the picture above as this is the Minecraft recipe. You won't get desired results if you displace any iron ingot.

#3 Move Helmet Into Your Inventory

With the process almost done, the last thing you have to do is to drag and drop that helmet into your inventory so that you can use it later.

You can repeat the process, again and again, to get maximum helmets for yourself.
