Can you Display your PING in ARK?

If you want to know how you can display your Ping during your ARK gameplay, we have bad news for you. There's no way to show your Ping in ARK.

Why? The problem is that there is no Studio Wildcard server holding the player's connection. All servers on ARK: Survival Evolved use a network structure called Per-to-Per. This structure makes an interconnected network between the players, establishing one of them as the game server host. So, the network latency of all players on the server is based on their connection with that host. For you to access the information necessary to display your Ping in ARK, you would need to know the server host IP address, and that information is given by the Studio Wildcard system.

A common mistake that players make is thinking that the MS output that shows when you use the -fps stat command (mentioned in our article on how you can show your FPS in ARK) is their server Ping. This millisecond output refers to how fast the frames are updating on your game and not the network latency of your server.
