First released in 1991, Star Blade was not originally available for gaming consoles until the 3DO came along. This made Star Blade a craze and an exciting game to play as an early console game.

In Star Blade, you are given a pretty simple mission; to defeat an alien invasion. The aliens show up with a death star-like weapon called Red Eye. This game is pretty fun to play as you learn to go faster and understand the shooting patterns. I'd say this game definitely deserves to be in the top 10 of the best 3DO games. Not only for the fun gameplay, but also due to the pre-rendered background that made it even more enjoyable than the arcade version.

Wolfenstein 3D was originally released for Windows until it was also added to the 3DO platform in 1995. This game was one of the best 3DO game releases from Bethesda after the Doom release was considered a bit of a failure for 3DO. 

During its time, it was one of the smoothest and most realistic first-person shooter games with a fun fast-paced main story. There is nothing better than letting off a little steam against the Nazi aggressors after a long day of work. Yes, Madden NFL was a huge hit on 3DOs despite its lack of features that they have today. This game had a surprisingly huge fan base despite the lack of player numbers and overall realism due to the lack of right-to-NFL data (like jersey numbers and player names). 

Despite the rights to these small features, the AI and playbooks were extremely realistic at the time, making it one of the most admirable games compared to all the others. Its realism was top-notch for home consoles and definitely brought many gamers into its snare.
