Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart is often praised as being one of the best Nintendo Switch games. By whom you may ask? By me, as it's one of my favorite childhood games.

Mario Kart 8 Delux

The premise of the game is really simple. You have a group of racers, you have a variety of maps with their own unique characters, and you have a ton of customization options available, which practically guarantees that no two matches will ever be the same.

Mario Kart is particularly fun if your group is competitive. Many friendships have been broken because of that dastardly blue shell. If you want to experience high-octane and memorable situations, then you should definitely give Mario Kart 8 Delux a try.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

It's been quite a while since we've seen a Smash game... but this one is just special.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is hands down regarded as one of the best fighting games of all time. Historically, the Smash series has produced successful entry after successful entry; seemingly only getting better with each subsequent entry. But what makes the Smash games so exhilarating though?

Well, for starters, it brings together some of the most beloved Nintendo characters in one place. Secondly, it gives you an exciting campaign, and it offers a variety of unique maps. On top of all that, it even has 4-player co-op! After your first match, you'll find yourself falling in love with the game instantaneously.

Just Dance 2023 Edition

Personally, I hate dancing. But, if you don't mind breaking into a sweat, then Just Dance 2023 might be the ideal game for your next gathering.

Just Dance 2023

The Just Dance series of games is one of the most unique games on the market today, as no other game has ever managed to pull off the feeling that Just Dance brings to the table. The original Just Dance was one of the best Nintendo Wii party games back in the day, and it still holds up to this day... even if it is a bit dated.

But, if you want to experience the biggest hits from the last few years, then you should definitely give Just Dance 2023 a shot.  Just Dance 2023 gave a particular focus to BTS this time around. So, if you're a fan of K-Pop, then you should definitely give the 2023 entry a try.

Gang Beats

If you're a fan of chaos, Gang Beats might sate your appetite.

Gang Beats

If beat-em-ups are your thing, then there's probably no better game than Gang Beats. Gang Beats came out in 2014 and it quickly became one of the best indie games of all time, with countless streamers streaming the game practically non-stop.

The core premise is simple. You have a group of wobbly characters and an obstacle course that they have to complete. The first person who manages to reach the end safely wins. Easier said than done, however, especially if you're playing with an uncooperative friend group.

Even though the game is competitive, certain parts of the map require cooperation to proceed, which means that the players will have to strike a temporary ceasefire to get past that part, or else everybody loses. Talk about a tense situation.

Rocket League

Rocket League is what you get if you introduced football into the world of Mad Max. That's my head cannon at least.

Rocket League

Even though it's been out for a few years already, Rocket League is far from dead. So it's definitely worth a try at the least. The game puts you in control of a variety of vehicles in an arena vaguely reminiscent of a football field. The goal? Simple. Shoot the ball into the enemy team's goal.

High-octane is an understatement when describing Rocket League, as there's barely ever a moment to rest and take a breather. The best part is, you can play it with 3 other friends. And if they aren't available, you can just as easily find a multiplayer match online. Put your foot on the pedal and shift into 6th gear! It's time to score some goals.

Overcooked 2

Overcooked 2 is what lazy college students imagine cooking is like. So, if for some reason you want to experience what that's like, go on right ahead.

Overcooked 2

The premise of the game is simple. Your party is put in charge of a kitchen where your task is to prepare, cook, and dish up meals. Now, that's not the easiest thing in real life. But in a game that throws random challenges at you, it's even harder.

If you enjoy overcoming unexpected challenges with your friends, then you should definitely give Overcooked 2 a chance. Worst case scenario? You'll burn down a digital kitchen. Which, in my opinion, is a lot better than burning down your actual kitchen.
