How to Get Primogems In Genshin Impact Fast! (100h+ Tested)

Finish Story Quests

The main storyline quest, Archon quests, and the world quests that come along with it give a ton of Primogems (Genshin Impact's main in-game currency) if you can complete them. Whenever I get to know someone who's new to Genshin Impact, I would recommend them to rush through the story. I think it's the best way to unlock most of the game's lore and content, and coincidentally is one of the best sources for Adventure rank EXP.

Do Event Quests

Event quests, or just events for short, are version-exclusive activities that will disappear after a short duration, usually ranging between seven to ten days. While making the version updates a lot more exciting with fun minigames and extensive lore descriptions, they reward players with free Primogems and cool in-game items! For me, this is also my main channel to earn Primogems.

Clear the Spiral Abyss

The Spiral Abyss is a permanent special Domain specifically made for Genshin Impact players to have a challenge. Unlocked at AR level 20, the Spiral Abyss may prove to be a huge challenge for new players, but for Genshin Impact veterans, Floors 1 to 8 should be an easy 2,400 Primogems.

Floors 9 to 12 are refreshed every half a month (15 days), therefore on average, you can get an extra 1,200 Primogems for free (provided you are able to obtain all 36 stars). I must warn you that obtaining all 600 Primogems per Spiral Abyss cycle is not easy, as it requires you to understand you to know which artifacts to use for your characters, as well as understand Genshin Impact elements interactions to succeed!

World Exploration

World exploration is a steady yet reliable way to level up your Adventure Rank while allowing you to farm Primogems. I like to do some exploring while completing quests so that I can get free Primogems, as not every quest provides Primogems (but don't worry, most of them do!)

As Free-to-Play (F2P) Genshin Impact players, you should always earn free Primogems whenever you have the opportunity, so always put in some effort to get free Primogems.

Achievements

Genshin Impact has many achievements that players can unlock. It does look overwhelming at first, but there are tons of hidden achievements that you will definitely unlock along the way. This is another way of reliably obtaining Primogems without having to do much!

Redeem Genshin Impact Codes

Genshin Impact frequently distributes game codes, providing a nice amount of Primogems. I always pay close attention to new version live streams as Genshin Impact provides 3 codes for a whopping total of 300 Primogems - and all you have to do is redeem them!

On a side note, you will also get a total of 600 Primogems after each maintenance that comes with a new version, all you have to do is log in to Genshin Impact and redeem them in the in-game mail.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to reliably claim Genshin Impact codes:

1. Open your browser and enter this link - https://genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift
2. Login to your Hoyoverse account that is linked to your Genshin Impact account.
3. Select the Genshin Impact server you usually play on. If you redeem it on a different server, you will not receive the code's rewards!
4. Ensure that the character nickname displayed is the same as your Genshin Impact account.
5. Enter the code that you found for redemption.
6. Hit the "Redeem" buttonto receive the gifts!

Do Hangout Events

Hangout events are free, permanent events that involve four-star characters in Genshin Impact. It's a really fun way to get to know Genshin Impact characters in depth, as well as get a little boost. More Primogems never hurt a man right?

Spend Real Money

I deliberately left this method for last because it involves real money (because you can earn Primogems for free - just learn how to save up Primogems in Genshin Impact!). This method is the most expensive, but also the fastest and most reliable way of obtaining enough Primogems for limited characters and weapons.

After seeing Genesis Crystals prices, you can then decide how many Genesis crystals you want, and then convert all the Genesis Crystals into Primogems (and later into Intertwined Fate)! I like to think of this method being the "last resort" in the case where you really do not have enough Primogems to obtain the character you really want (usually after losing the 50/50 to standard banner characters).
