How to craft Barrel in Minecraft

#1 Collect 6x Planks

Planks in Minecraft has 6 different variations from corresponding wood type, they’re Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Crimson Stem, and Warped Stem. You can use any 1x Log, Wood, Stripped Log, Stripped Wood to craft 4x Planks.

Planks also generated naturally in structures like Mineshafts, Villages, Strongholds, Woodland mansions, Shipwrecks, Swamp huts, Underwater ruins, and Pillager outposts.

Another way to get Planks is to look for looted chests in Villages. They normally have a 70-100% chance to contain 1-12x Oak Planks.

#2 Collect 2x Wood Slab

Wood Slab can be crafted by using 3x Planks of any wood type in the crafting table. You put them in one line to craft 6x Wood Slab.

Wood Slab can also be generated naturally in Igloos, Woodland mansions, Pillager outposts, Shipwrecks, and Villages.

#3 Finish off crafting a Barrel

When you have 6x Planks and 2x Wood Slab, right-click the crafting table and put 3x Planks in the left column, and another 3x Planks in the right column. Then put 1x Wood Slab to the top and one to the bottom to craft 1x Barrel.
