How to Remove the Right Side of F3 Using Mods in Minecraft

Before we jump into removing the big block of text on the right side of the F3 screen, there is some stuff you'll need to download first. Here are all the required mods and apps you need to install to remove the right side of F3 in Minecraft:

  • The Forge client (make sure you select your preferred Minecraft version on the left side)
  • The BetterF3 mod (select the same Forge version you chose on the right side of the mod's page)
  • The Cloth Config API (select the same BetterF3 and Forge version on the left here)

Once you download the Forge client and open the file, an installer will appear. Here you'll have to select "Install client" and click on OK to proceed.

Then to install the mods, you'll have to move the other 2 files you downloaded to the "mods" folder of Minecraft like you'd download even the best quality-of-life Minecraft mods. You can easily find the folder by opening the game, selecting the "Mods" option, and clicking on "Open mods folder"!

Make sure you don't have other mods that aren't compatible with the Forge Minecraft version you installed because the game won't open up. But once you set up the mods and open the game, here's how to remove the right side of the F3 debug screen text using mods in Minecraft:

  1. Create or join a Minecraft world
  2. Press the F3+M keys at the same time
  3. Select the "Right Modules" option
  4. Click on each option here, and select "Delete Module" at the bottom

There is no other in-game way to remove the right side of the F3 debug screen text unless you're using a mod. With the mod above, you can even edit the colors and size of each individual text on the F3 debug screen without using a resource pack. All in all, it can even be considered one of the best Minecraft HUD mods out there!

How to Reduce the F3 Debug Screen Text in Minecraft

Although you can't directly remove the right-side text of the F3 debug screen in-game, there's a way to reduce it. But with this method, you'll be able to reduce a lot of information that's shown using F3. Even options from the left side will be deleted, including the coordinates, local difficulty, and the client light level.

Lots of players don't want to remove their options like coordinates on the left side, but that's the only way to reduce all F3 debug screen text in-game. So if you're prepared to live without options like coordinates and client light level, here's how to reduce the F3 debug screen text in Minecraft:

  1. Open up Minecraft
  2. In the main menu, go to "Options"
  3. Click on "Chat Settings"
  4. Scroll down a bit, and turn on the "Reduced Debug Info" option

When you press F3 right now, you'll instantly notice stuff like your current location through the coordinates, client light level, and the local difficulty options are missing. So it'll be even harder to see your Minecraft light level. But the right side will be reduced and it won't show you block information when you're aiming. However, some of the text like information about your PC will still remain there!

How to Make the F3 Debug Text Smaller in Minecraft

Finally, the only way to make the text on the right side of the screen less annoying when you press F3 is to just make it smaller. Not only will this make the most basic information of the F3 smaller, but also the main menu alongside the in-game inventory! So here's how to make the F3 debug screen smaller in Minecraft:

  1. Open up Minecraft
  2. Click on "Options" in the main menu
  3. Select the "Video Settings" option
  4. Click on "GUI Scale" to make the menu alongside the F3 debug screen smaller

And that's pretty much everything there is on how to remove, reduce, or even make the right side of the F3 smaller in Minecraft. Now at least the F3 debug screen won't cover your display all that much while you're trying to see the coordinates for the best levels to find ores in Minecraft
