Zacian

A super popular and super powerful Legendary Pokemon, Zacian is an easy pick for the title of best wolf Pokemon and was the mascot Pokemon for Pokemon Sword.

With seriously impressive stats, Zacian was banned in some competitive formats because it was just that strong.

Zacian also features on this list of the best Fairy type Pokémon, and it's easy to see why, as Zacian has an awful lot to love.

Zacian Hero Form

Zacian in its Hero of Many Battles form looks a little battleworn, but when holding the Old Sword, it changes into its much more regal Crowned Sword Form.

Zacian Crowned Sword

This majestic creature is truly the best wolf Pokemon, and it's got the goods to back up its claim, too!

2 /10

Suicune

Suicune, the mascot Pokemon and box art Legendary for Pokemon Crystal, is perhaps a controversial pick as one of the best wolf Pokemon.

Not because it isn't great, but because there's some controversy in the fandom over whether it's a dog Pokemon or a cat Pokemon.

Suicune

This wolf like Pokemon also features on this list of the best Water type Pokémon. Suicune is perhaps based on an arctic wolf. Whatever its design inspiration, Suicune looks great and is certainly an iconic wolf Pokémon.

Entei

This truly regal Pokemon with its majestic fur and proud look is a Fire type Legendary Pokemon introduced in Generation II as part of a trio with Suicune and Raikou.

Entei

With a solid Attack stat Entei slaps hard with physical attacks, and with its Hidden Ability Flash Fire, getting attacked by Fire type moves powers up Entei's own flames!

Lucario

Lucario is variously described as being a dog Pokemon or a wolf like Pokemon. With its design clearly based on Egyptian God Anubis, Lucario is certainly canine!

Not quite as popular or useful in battle as its counterpart Zacian, Zamazenta is still one of the best wolf Pokemon.

Rockruff

A Rock type Pokémon, Rockruff is a fierce baby wolf Pokemon with some major attitude!

Rockruff

More of a puppy Pokemon than a full fledged wolf Pokemon, Rockruff is the perfect combination of cute and cool. This little wolf pup was introduced in Generation VII, and was featured as a Pokémon owned by Professor Kukui.
