Who is JKnaps in Rocket League Esports
JKnaps is a professional Rocket League player coming from the North American region. He was born in Canada and began his professional Rocket League career as a player in as early as 2015. His first team was Nova, although he never achieved any real international success with his first team, which has since disbanded.
In the following 18 months he changed as many as 10 different teams before landing in G2 Esports in February 2017. JKnaps has been playing for G2 Esports ever since, which at the time of this writing has been 5 and a half years.
Throughout his illustrious career so far, JKnaps has had myriads of major successes. He remains one of the most long-standing and consistent players in the Rocket League community. Unlike some other top level players such as Monkey Moon who have been dominating for the past 2 years or so, JKnaps has been a major presence for more than 5 years, and has been achieving successes since as early as 2017. He has helped G2 Esports in so many tournaments, and the only way to do it justice is to simply list all the "S Tier" tournaments he managed to win 1st place in.
- RLCS 2021-22 - Winter Split Major (March 2022)
- RLCS Season 9 - North America (March 2020)
- RLCS Season 5 - North America (April 2018)
- ELEAGUE Cup 2017: Rocket League (December 2017)
Bear in mind that this list is comprised only of top tier tournament he won. There are many other successes he's had, such as achieving 2nd place in RLCS 2021-22 - World Championship in August 2022, or the 2nd place in RLCS Season X - Spring: NA Major in May 2022, or winning many NA regionals throughout 2020, 2021 and 2022, though these technically don't count as "S Tier" tournaments. Still, they required beating many other high level teams, such as NRG, SSG, Version 1, Team Envy and many others.
Being born in 1999, JKnaps is definitely considered a veteran by Rocket League community average age standards. Plenty of players decide to retire by that age, or are simply well past their prime Rocket League years. Still, in JKnaps's case, he is definitely far from washed, and he doesn't seem to be showing any sings of aging.
Is JKnaps still on G2 Esports?
Yes, at the time of this writing he is still an active player on the G2 Esports roster, alongside his teammates Chicago and Atomic.
When did JKnaps Join G2 Esports?
JKnaps joined G2 Esports in February, 2017. Interestingly, Rizzo signed up for G2 at the same time.
