Top 5 Ares Valorant Skins in 2023

Ares (aka mini Odin) is one of the most stupid weapons in Valorant. Getting killed by it is so frustrating, but not because it's OP! Sure, it has high damage stats, but this machine gun is so inconstant it can make you crazy when you run into a player who constantly kills you with it. Ares is one of the favorite weapons for trolls, and whether you're one of them or just want to add another skin to your Valorant account — this listing is for you.

1 /5

Singularity Ares

The Singularity Ares Valorant skin was added to the game on October 13th, 2020, as a part of the Singularity Collection. It’s an upgradeable skin, and it comes in four variants — Default, Blue, Red, and Purple. You can purchase the Singularity Ares skin for 2175 VPs in the Valorant Store.

We're all familiar with the Singularity skin collection thanks to Singularity Phantom, Melee skin, epic kill animation, and a nice Gun Buddy, but this Ares is also quite noteworthy. Those purple highlights look so cool on a machine gun, makes us want to see the same design on Odin.

It’s not the cheapest, as it costs 2175 Valorant Points, but for hardcore Ares players this should hardly be a problem, right?

2 /5

Infantry Ares

The Infantry Ares Valorant skin was added to the game on March 18th, 2021, as a part of the Infantry Collection. It’s a non-upgradeable skin, and it only comes in one variant. You can purchase the Infantry Ares skin for 875 VPs in the Valorant Store.

Ok, let's move on to something cheaper, as this one is for only 875 Valorant Points. This is paradoxically one of the most abstract skins on this listing. Machine guns tend not to have such a "wooden" design, but as it turns out, it looks fantastic on Ares. We hope that the Infantry skin line will get a Knife someday, so we can have a “woody” Melee Weapon in the game.

3 /5

Hivemind Ares

The Hivemind Ares Valorant skin was added to the game on August 5th, 2020, as a part of the Ignition: Act 2 Battle Pass. It’s a non-upgradeable skin, and it only comes in one variant. You could only get it by finishing the first Tier of the Ignition: Act 2 Battle Pass.

3

We all recognize the Hivemind skin line because of the Vandal skin, but as it turns out, it also offers some good options for other weapons. It doesn't really have any animation effects, but its design is just nice, and if you have it, you should take advantage of it.

Moreover, this weapon skin is from the first Valorant Episode 1 Battle Pass, so having this skin is the signature of being a veteran Valorant player. It was worth buying the Battle Pass just for this individual skin, really.

4 /5

Minima Ares

The Minima Ares Valorant skin was added to the game on May 12th, 2021, as a part of the Minima Collection. It’s a non-upgradeable skin, and it only comes in one variant. You can purchase the Minima Ares skin for 1275 VPs in the Valorant Store.

4

Sure, this skin is just black, and that's all about it. But isn’t that kind of aesthetic? The only thing really missing in this Ares skin is any finisher animation, but it still looks great, and despite appearances — much better than the default one; you can really see the difference in-game. We need a Minima 2.0 collection with a Ghost and Melee skin!

5 /5

Nebula Ares

The Nebula Ares Valorant skin was added to the game on August 21st, 2020, as a part of the Nebula Collection. It’s a non-upgradeable skin, and it only comes in one variant. You can purchase the Nebula Ares skin for 1775 VPs in the Valorant Store.

Nebula Ares skin got released 2 months after the game came out of its Closed Beta. It has a beautiful design and looks quite premium, which doesn't always happen for these types of skins. Again, we're missing the finisher animation, and as we think about it now, it would be nice if Riot gave us the option to buy VFX and animations in the Valorant Shop. For example, it would be cool to have the finisher animation from the Reaver skin bundle on this Nebula Ares, don't you think? Actually, maybe not, as some animations could easily be called a purchasable hack.

We hope you’ve found your new skin for Ares in this listing! The only thing we’re missing is the Elderflame Collection Ares skin. Sure, it wouldn't be the cheapest skin in the game, but if we were one of those trolls playing machine guns, we'd spend all our Valorant Points on it.

Well, we can only hope that someone from the Riot design team is reading this right now. And if so, just want to add that a Prime skin for Ares would also be nice in my shop.
