Best Crypto Skins In Apex Legends That Make You Stand Out

Crypto is one of the best surveillance experts in the arena, and he was released a bit earlier into the life cycle of Apex Legends, Season 3 to be precise. When he was first released, he was quite a popular choice when it came to recon legends. But, as time went on he quickly fell out of the public’s favor. This was largely due to how vulnerable and static the player is whilst using his surveillance drone. In a game where pacing is the key to victory, using his drone can be a death sentence during end-game zones. Crypto’s most defining feature is his fashion style, with players liking his default skin as it is. That’s why we’re excited to show you our list of the best Crypto skins in Apex Legends.

The Hired Gun

The “The Hired Gun” skin for Crypto is not part of a specific Apex Legends Season Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that can be crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or unboxed via an Apex Pack.

The

The style that suits Crypto is nearly always minimalistic or professional, and many of his skins are tailored more toward that specific standard. Crypto’s tall and slender physique makes him ripe for suits like this, and the concept artists over at Respawn Entertainment made sure to base most of the skins on his noticeable physical attributes. This skin is likely a reference to hired Japanese bodyguards and their attire. It’s an amazing skin for only 1200 Crafting Materials.

Fuzzy Logic

The “Fuzzy Logic” skin for Crypto is not part of a specific Apex Legends Season Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 6500 Legend Tokens, and requires you to have the “The Hired Gun” skin for Crypto.

The

The “Fuzzy Logic” skin is basically a recolor of the “The Hired Gun” skin that we covered earlier. Now, this skin is somewhat controversial when it comes to the Apex Legends community. Public opinion is very divided on this skin, and people seem to think that it’s not worth it. This is mainly because of how rare it is, which gave players even fewer chances to unlock it for themselves. Regardless of what people think; green is Crypto’s color, and he pulls it off nicely in this suit.

Devil’s Advocate

The “Devil’s Advocate” skin for Crypto is not part of a specific Apex Legends Season Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that can be crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or unboxed via an Apex Pack.

The

We hope you’re not tired of skins with red color schemes. You have to admit that every player is a stinker for vibrant red designs, and the “Devil’s Advocate” skin is red enough to catch your gaze. The platinum hair color also does a great job of complementing the red jacket. Although similar to the previous two skins on this list, it’s another great alternative. We highly recommend this one if you’re unsure about which Crypto skin to get.

Hype Beast

The “Hype Beast” skin for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends Grand Soirée Event in 2020. It’s a legendary skin that can be crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or unboxed via an Apex Pack.

The

The Grand Soirée Event introduced one hell of a legendary skin that is bound to pique everyone’s interest because of its shock value. Although unusual, Crypto is the most suitable candidate for a skin like this. Still, terms like “hype beast” and “seasoned killer” don’t really go together at the end of the day. What sells this skin for me is the funky haircut, which might I note, is also out of character for Crypto. All in all, it’s as unique as a Crypto skin can get.

Whitelisted

The “Whitelisted” skin for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends System Override Collection Event in 2020. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought as a standalone skin for 1800 Apex Coins.

The

We think many people will agree with us when we say that this is a contender for the best Crypto skin in Apex Legends. The “Whitelisted” skin takes everything good about Crypto’s original style and amplifies it. Another thing to note is that it’s a bit more futuristic than the other skins, turning Crypto into what seems to be a cyborg. It’s truly the most fitting Crypto skin that you can have. What we regret to tell you is that it’s quite rare and hasn’t been seen in the shop since 2021.

Nomad Overseer

The “Nomad Overseer” skin for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 8 Chaos Theory Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought in the Nomad Overseer Bundle for 2500 Apex Coins.

The

The “Nomad Overseer” skin is nothing like what we’ve seen before in terms of Crypto skins. The Chaos Theory Collection Event in question brought a lot of chaotic and whacky skins with it, and that might explain why this is so out of character for Crypto. Regardless, the concept artists found a way to design the skin according to Crypto’s slender style. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been seen in the in-game shop since January of this year.

Awoken Fury

The “Awoken Fury” skin for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 8 Anniversary Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins

The

A lot of similarly designed skins were released for the Anniversary Collection Event back in 2021. With it came skins that had a very specific color scheme that signified the event in question. Black, red, and gold were the main colors used to paint the many layers of these skins. It’s safe to say that players loved it. This skin will probably return to the in-game shop during another anniversary event, so be on the lookout for it.

Patch Notes

The “Patch Notes” skin for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends Raiders Collection Event in 2021. It’s an epic skin that could’ve been unlocked as a challenge reward during the aforementioned event.

The

The “Patch Notes” skin takes a bit of a different approach in regards to the color scheme, but it’s still somewhat similar to his other skins. It does, however, retain the enigmatic vibe that Crypto always had going for him. This, paired with the apparent facial modifications, makes for great skin. One downside about it is that it’s rare, and it hasn’t been seen since the Raiders Collection Event in 2021.

Seeker of Knowledge

The “Seeker of Knowledge” skin for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 5 Lost Treasures Collection Event in 2020. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

The

Here we have another typical Crypto skin design that outlines his physique with a nice topcoat. This one is a bit more elegant though, and from what it looks like, he’s supposed to resemble either a treasure hunter, fence, or jeweler. That begs the question though, why not all of them? Instead of wowing you with vibrant colors, this skin’s color scheme exudes culture and sophistication. It’s a very rare skin, and has last been seen in the shop in 2021.

Inconspicuous

The “Inconspicuous skin” for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 9 Genesis Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought in the Inconspicuous Pack Bundle for 2500 Apex Coins.

The

As expected, Crypto’s topcoat is included in this inconspicuous skin. This skin shrouds Crypto in mystery and secrecy, making him look like a federal agent of sorts. The outfit itself isn’t anything unique, but what successfully completes the look are the haircut and the glasses. It did make a return to the in-game shop in February of this year, but it seems we’ll have to wait for it to return next year.

Each recon legend in Apex Legends has their own respective style, and Crypto isn’t the only one with a sense for fashion. That’s why we’ve gone ahead and made lists like these for other recon legends. These can be found here: the best Bloodhound skins in Apex, the best Pathfinder skins in Apex, the best Seer skins in Apex, and the best Valkyrie skins in Apex.

If you’re interested in something more general, we also have an entire list of the best skins in Apex Legends.

With all of that being said, pick up your surveillance drones and go hunt yourself an enemy squad. It’s not like they can easily find you.
