Best Skins in Apex Legends That Make You Stand Out

Ever since Apex Legends was released, we’ve been blessed with a steady supply of characters and their fantastic skins. Every season battle pass or seasonal event offers a new set of skins, and it gives Apex Legends players something to look forward to every month. We made it our goal to cover all of those skins with our best skins lists for this game, and it shows you just how hard Respawn Entertainment works to keep things diverse for the average player.  As this article is being written, there are 20 legends in the game, and today’s list will not only cover one specific legend, but all of the Apex Legends that we can play in the Arena.

Voidwalker

The “Voidwalker” skin for Wraith was released as part of the Apex Legends Voidwalker Event in September of 2019. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought for 1800 Apex Coins, or 2500 Apex Coins if in a bundle.

The

The “Voidwalker” skin is utter perfection, and it stands as one of the most beloved skins in all of Apex Legends. There are a lot of players that main Wraith, and the “Voidwalker” skin is nearly always in their top 3 Wraith skins to choose from. One downside about this skin is that it’s pretty rare, and we’re not sure when it will return to the in-game shop again. If you’re curious about other good-looking Wraith skins, we made a standalone list of the best Wraith skins to play in Apex.

Mil-Spec

The “Mil-Spec skin” for Bangalore was featured as part of the Apex Legends Gridiron Store in January of 2023. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought as a standalone skin for 1800 Apex Coins, or in a bundle for 4350 Apex Coins.

The

The “Mil-Spec” skin relates to Bangalore’s background and story, which is why it was hard to pick between this and the “Decorated Line” skin. However, the Decorated Line skin is a bit too clunky, and although it doesn’t honor her profession as a pilot, the Mil-Spec skin looks like a better and more versatile version of the two. It looks like something a proper IMC soldier would wear. Unfortunately, it’s not in the in-game store anymore but we hope it’ll return soon. If you’re interested in other Bangalore skins, check out our list of the best Bangalore skins to play in Apex.

Mirage

Folk Hero

The “Folk Hero” skin for Mirage is not part of a specific Apex Legends Season Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that could be crafted for 10500 Legend Tokens only if you have the “The Revenger” skin for Mirage.

The

Both the “The Revenger” skin and “Folk Hero” skin were considered for Mirage’s spot, but we ended up picking the “Folk Hero” skin due to the superior color scheme. Now, don’t get us wrong, the “The Revenger” skin has an equally nice coat of paint. However gold always has the upper hand, especially when it’s paired with something like red. The picture above is enough to clarify any doubts you may have. There are other good-looking Mirage skins, which is why we recommend our list of the top Mirage skins to play in Apex.

El Tigre

The “El Tigre skin” for Octane was released as part of the Season 8 Anniversary Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 (2000 when in a bundle) Apex Coins.

The

The “El Tigre” skin takes everything good about Octane and amplifies it. The design is very fitting and pays an insane amount of attention to detail, so much so that you simply have to acknowledge its beauty. We were debating on whether we should’ve included the popular “XL-R8” skin instead of this, but the “El Tigre” skin is a much safer choice because of how well it fits Octane’s ethnic background. If you want to check out other cool Octane skins, we have a separate list of the best Octane skins to play in Apex.

A Gaze Eternal

The “A Gaze Eternal” skin for Revenant was released as part of Apex Legends’ Season 8 Chaos Theory Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 (2500 if in a bundle) Apex Coins.

The

Where do we even start with this absolute beauty? The Chaos Theory Collection Event brought us a lot of goodies, but they blew it out of the park with Revenant. This skin is the pinnacle of creativity, and the color scheme is something to behold. The “A Gaze Eternal” skin won us over with its intricate design at the end of the day. We also have a list of the top Revenant skins to play in Apex that you should check out.

Golden Boson

The “Golden Boson” skin for Horizon was released as part of the Horizon Starter Bundle in August of 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought with the Horizon Starter Bundle for 3950 Apex Coins.

The

There are a lot of solid skins in Horizon’s inventory of skins, but most of them don’t stay true to Horizon’s heritage and background. This is what players consistently complain about when taking her skins into consideration. The “Golden Boson” skin finds itself somewhere in between - the hair is definitely not that fitting, but the outfit draws inspiration from Horizon’s default skin and adds an awesome color scheme. We also have a list of the best Horizon skins to play in Apex if you’re interested.

Real Steel

The “Real Steel” skin for Fuse was released as part of the Apex Legends Fuse Launch Bundle in February of 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought in the Fuse Launch Bundle for 3000 Apex Coins.

The

Although the “Cybernetic Payload” skin for Fuse was a very close contender, we eventually decided to pick this. The “Real Steel” skin is nothing short of legendary, and it deserves all of the praise it can get. It’s one of those skins that just fit the character perfectly, and it improved upon Fuse’s original look in every way. With that being said, we also have an article on the best Fuse skins to play in Apex if you want to check that out.

Fallen Angel

The “Fallen Angel” skin for Ash is not part of a specific Apex Legends Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that can be crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or unboxed via an Apex Pack.

The

Due to her being relatively new, Ash doesn’t really have a lot of skins. Anyhow, the skins that she does have are stunning. The “Fallen Angel” in particular is what caught our attention, and it just exudes a sense of divinity. There was another contending skin for this position, but we decided to go with this one due to the fact that you can simply craft it when you gather the necessary crafting materials. If you want to see more of her skins, check out our article on the top Ash skins to play in Apex.

Mob Boss

The “Mob Boss” skin for Mad Maggie is not part of a specific Apex Legends Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that can be crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or unboxed via an Apex Pack.

The

Mad Maggie’s introduction to Apex Legends was quite recent, but we still got a solid amount of skins for her. The “Mob Boss” skin is one of the base legendary skins that you can craft for Maggie, and it looks badass. Not only does it fit Maggie’s initial look, but it also introduces a nice color scheme. Her “Māori Warrior” skin was also considered for this position, but we ultimately went with this due to its availability. If you can make up your mind about which Maggie skin to get, be sure to check out our article on the best Mad Maggie skins to play in Apex

Golden God

The “Golden God” for Gibraltar was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 8 Anniversary Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

The

There are so many amazing Gibraltar skins to choose from, and this was definitely a tough choice given how divided everyone is when it comes to the best skins for Gibby. The “Golden God” skin was picked due to how clean the design looks, and how nice the color scheme is. The “Brudda Bear” and “Imperial Defender” skins were very close picks as well. If you’re interested in taking a look at other Gibby skins, be sure to check out our list of the best Gibraltar skins to play in Apex.

Prince of Darkness

The “Prince of Darkness” skin for Caustic was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been unlocked upon reaching level 25 in the aforementioned battle pass.

The

The “Prince of Darkness” skin is rarely mentioned when Caustic is in question, but it’s one of the best designs that we’ve gotten for any character currently in the game. Taking a look at all of the details on the skin will show you just how well it fits Caustic as a whole, especially when paired with his heirloom. The big downside about this skin is that it only appeared during Season 2, and we haven’t seen it since. There are plenty of other Caustics skins, which is why we have a list of the best Caustic skins to play in Apex.

Haute Drop

The “Haute Drop” skin for Wattson was released as part of Apex Legends Season 7’s Fight Night Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 (2150 if in a bundle) Apex Coins.

The

People are largely divided on which skin could be considered the best for Wattson, and it was hard trying to pick one that complements both her physique and origin. The design is also very minimalistic, which once again, fits Wattson surprisingly well. We’re not sure when it will return to the in-game shop, but we’d recommend keeping an eye out for it in future events. As with every legend, we made a list showcasing the best Wattson skins to play in Apex

Death Dealer

The “Death Dealer” skin for Rampart was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 8 Chaos Theory Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 (2500 when in a bundle) Apex Coins.

The

Rampart is another one of those legends that don’t really have a lot of skins for you to choose from. Regardless, there are a couple of skins that stand out and will definitely make you shine in-game. The “Death Dealer” skin is one of those, and it came from the Chaos Theory Collection Event. The other contender for this position was the “Premium Finish” skin for Rampart, but we decided to go for this one due to its popularity. As always, we’ve also created a list of all of the best Rampart skins to play in Apex that you can check out.

Judge Jury Executioner

The “Judge Jury Executioner” skin for Lifeline was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 2 Iron Crown Event in 2019. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

The

Lifeline has a pretty disappointing inventory of skins, and not many of them really stand out. There are still some that are worth noting, but this skin only focuses on the best. The “Judge Jury Executioner” skin made the list because of how much it stands out in comparison to the others. Although the theme of the skin isn’t Lifeline-like, we can still acknowledge the neat design. It’s pretty rare, given how it hasn’t been seen since the Iron Crown Event. If you’re a Lifeline main, we recommend checking out our list of the top Lifeline skins to play in Apex

Self Reflection

The “Self Reflection” skin for Loba was added as part of the Apex Legends Season 7 Fight Night Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that was featured in a bundle for 2400 Crafting Materials, or 1800 Apex Coins.

The

Loba is known for having some of the best skins in Apex Legends. Most of her skins are undeniably beautiful, which is why picking the best one was quite a challenge. The jacket on this skin has a nice design, and the pants follow the jacket’s reflective design. What completes this skin is the vibrant red lining inside of the jacket. We recommend checking out her other skins as there are so many good ones to choose from. Luckily, we created a list of the best Loba skins to play in Apex.

Wise Warrior

The “Wise Warrior” skin for Bloodhound was released as part of the Apex Legends Old Ways Event in 2020. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought in three separate bundles over the years for 3000/1800/2150 Apex Coins.

The

The “Wise Warrior” skin, alongside the “Young Blood” skin, are story skins for Bloodhound. Both of these were the first skins that we thought of when thinking about the best Bloodhound skins. It recently made a debut as part of the Warriors Event Store, so if it’s still there by the time this article is released, we recommend purchasing it. Once again, if you’re interested in other Bloodhound skins - we made an individual list of the best Bloodhound skins to play in Apex.

Ultra Legend

The “Ultra Legend” skin for Valkyrie is not part of a specific Apex Legends Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that could be crafted for 10500 Legend Tokens only if you have the “Military Grade” skin for Valkyrie.

The

This skin is a recolor of the “Military Grade” skin that is required to craft it. As expected, it’s very similar to its counterpart, but it has a much better color scheme. There are, of course, other good-looking skins like the “Azure Blessing” skin, which nearly made it on this list instead of Valkyrie. But, we felt like this skin fit Valkyrie as a character more. You can check out our list of the best Valkyrie skins to play in Apex if you want to see her other skins.

Out For Blood

The “Out For Blood” skin for Seer was released as part of the Apex Legends Monsters Within Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials or simply unboxed.

The

The “Out For Blood” skin for Seer just beats all of his other skins in terms of the design and color scheme. There aren’t many skins for Seer, and this is because he was released two seasons ago. The ones that are available though are pretty bland or lack uniqueness. Fortunately, there’s always a diamond in the rough. This skin was last seen during the Monsters Within Event, and we hope it will return someday. If you main Seer, consider taking a look at our list of the top Seer skins in Apex.

Whitelisted

The “Whitelisted” skin for Crypto was released as part of the Apex Legends System Override Collection Event in 2020. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought as a standalone skin for 1800 Apex Coins.

The

This skin is undeniably the best Crypto skin out there. We don’t even know where to start with this one. Simply looking at it tells you that it fits him and his enigmatic nature. There are not many skins that fit a character as well as this one does, and it’s a must for Crypto mains. One major downside is that it’s quite rare and hasn’t been seen for a while. As for other Crypto skins, we’ve made a separate list of the best Crypto skins to play in Apex.

Burgundy Knight

The “Burgundy Knight” skin for Pathfinder was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 8 War Games Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought in the Burgundy Knight Bundle for 2000 Apex Coins.

The

The “Burgundy Knight” skin is a recolor of the very famous “War Machine” skin for Pathfinder. The “War Machine” skin is beloved by many, and it become a very rare skin to own. The reason we picked this skin is because of its ties to the “War Machine”, and how much better the color scheme looks in general. It’s last been seen in 2021, so we’re not quite confident when it will return. We also have an individual list of the best Pathfinder skins to play in Apex if that interests you.

The process of choosing which skin was going to be featured took a lot of research, and the two things that we prioritized the most were popularity and style. We covered a lot of ground in today’s list, and we hope you found our list useful in helping you discover your favorite Apex Legends skin.
