Best Gibraltar Skins in Apex Legends That Make You Standout

Gibraltar was one of the first Apex Legends to ever bless the Arena, and players that preferred tank classes for defensive plays in other games quickly came to love him. Not only did players take a liking to him due to his tanky physique, but he also had really solid abilities such as the passive Gun Shield, the Defensive Bombardment, and his well-known Dome of Protection.

Due to the fact that he’s a starter legend, Gibraltar received many skins throughout the countless Apex Legends seasons and events, and today we’re covering only the best Gibraltar skins in Apex Legends.

Millennium Tusk

The Millennium Tusk skin for Gibraltar is not part of a specific Apex Legends Season Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that can be crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

The Millennium Tusk skin goes for a bit of a different style than the default Gibraltar skin. Although still somewhat loyal to the original design, this is a bit more futuristic and gives him a more practical look, whilst still adhering to the original one. This skin is for anyone wanting something different from Gibraltar’s original look, whilst still staying true to his default design. The good thing about this skin is that you can simply craft or purchase it through the legends menu.

Code Red

The Code Red skin for Gibraltar is not part of a specific Apex Legends Season Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary exclusive skin that can be crafted for 6500 Legend Tokens only if you have the “Bunker Buster” skin. It also appeared in the Apex Item Store in 2019 and 2021 where it could’ve been bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

The Code Red skin is basically a reskin of the famous Bunker Buster skin, and a far superior reskin at that. The Bunker Buster skin, although still unique and cool, lacked the proper color palette to elevate it. Well, this skin improves upon that flaw and takes it to another level. This skin is great for any Gibraltar mains who have the Legend Tokens to spare. If not, simply wait for it to return to the item store.

Dark Side

The Dark Side skin for Gibraltar is not part of a specific Apex Legends Season Battle Pass or Event. It’s a legendary skin that can be crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

A few Gibraltar legendary skins have similar designs, and the Dark Side skin falls into this category. This skin could be considered a reskin of the Millennium Tusk, and the design is almost identical. But, what makes the Dark Side skin different is the color pattern. The black and purple combination actually goes really well with the design of this skin. Not to mention how fitting the tribal face paint is.

Golden God

The Golden God for Gibraltar was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 8 Anniversary Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 1200 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

This skin might be the best Gibraltar skin in Apex Legends. It’s apparent that it's practically a reskin of the Gibraltron skin, but it looks far better. The mechanized futuristic design that they were going for here actually complements Gibraltar’s bulkiness. It makes him look like a mech-style robot from Titanfall. The golden mask is just the cherry on top. It’s currently not in the item store, so we’re hoping it makes a swift return soon.

Golden Guardian

The Golden Guardian skin for Gibraltar was released during the Apex Legends Season 12 Anniversary Collection Event in 2023. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

The Golden Guardian surprised everyone. It’s a fairly recent and unique skin that just looks amazing. It shares a lot of similarities with the Blackheart skin for Caustic (which is part of the best Caustics skins in Apex) due to the color pattern and fur. The shield and mask are the main selling point of this skin, and we’re guessing Respawn Entertainment’s inspiration for this skin came from the aforementioned Blackheart skin. It came out recently, so it should be back in the store or in a bundle eventually in the future.

Ring Leader

The Ring Leader skin for Gibraltar was released as part of a bundle during the Apex Legends Season 9 Thrillseekers Arenas Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought for 1800 Apex Coins or 3950 Apex Coins when in a bundle.

The Ring Leader skin is one to behold. It’s one of the few Gibraltar skins that most of the players like, even if it’s different from Gibraltar’s usual tribal skins. As you can see, the entire design is based on cattle farming and bulls. The shield looks like a bull's head, and Gibraltar’s back piece has horns. What we don’t usually see much of is Gibraltar’s muscles, which is a nice touch to say the least.

Lost Dynasty

The Lost Dynasty skin for Gibraltar was released as part of Apex Legends Season 8’s Chaos Theory Collection Event in 2021. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been crafted for 2400 Crafting Materials, or bought for 1800 Apex Coins.

Every character in Apex Legends has to have a skin from the past in their repertoire, and the Lost Dynasty skin is Gibraltar’s version of a skin from the bygone ages. The shield and helmet really complete the skin, not to mention how nice and bright the colors are.

King of the Sea

The King of the Sea skin for Gibraltar is a legendary rarity skin, and was only available upon purchasing the Gibraltar solo edition pack Apex Legends - Gibraltar Edition for $19.99.

As with every starting Apex Legend, Respawn Entertainment made individual editions of the game based on that specific legend. Gibraltar obviously got his own edition of the game, and it’s by far one of the best solo edition skins that we’ve gotten. The skin itself represents Gibraltar’s tribal and ethnic background, giving it a more authentic feel. The Gibraltar Edition of Apex Legends is unfortunately only available through third-party websites.

Born in Blood

The Born in Blood skin for Gibraltar was part of the “Resurrected” bundle that could’ve been bought during the Fight or Fright Event in 2020. It’s a legendary skin that could’ve been bought for either 2150 or 4000 Apex Coins.

The Born in Blood skin is part of a bundle that was released for Halloween. Regardless of what it was intended for, the actual skin looks really cool. From the torn-up pants all the way to the body paint, this skin honors the Halloween vibe whilst still managing to make it fit Gibraltar. Fortunately, we think it’s likely that this skin will return for the next Halloween event.

Glorious Combatant

The Glorious Combatant skin for Gibraltar was released as part of the Apex Legends Season 11 Escape Battle Pass. It’s a legendary skin that was earned as a reward for reaching level 50 of the Battle Pass.

Gibraltar was always a glorious combatant, and this skin just helped him realize that image. This skin in particular is quite creative and contains a lot of additional clutter that cements the theme they were going for with this skin. Even though it’s not available anymore, we hope that this skin will get a chance to return to the Apex Item Store.

Toxic Touch

The Toxic Touch skin for Gibraltar was released during the Monsters Within Event in 2021. It’s an epic skin that could’ve been crafted for 800 Crafting Materials, or unboxed through an Apex Pack.

The Toxic Touch skin is another Halloween-themed skin for Gibraltar. It doesn’t mess with the original outfit of Gibraltar, it only changes the color scheme and essentially makes Gibraltar toxic. This skin was a refreshing change, given how we’re used to extravagantly designed skins in general.

Gibraltar might have some of the best skins in the game, but other legends do too, which is why we’ve created lists such as the best Wattson skins, the best Horizon skins, the best Octane skins, and finally, the best Rampart skins. Apex Legends is full of unique skins that blow people out of the park, and it’s one of the reasons why its list of players keeps growing day by day.  With all that being said, there are many more legends and skins to cover in Apex Legends, and we’ve compiled a list of not only Gibraltar’s best skins, but also a list of the best skins in all of Apex Legends.

There’s not much our beloved Gibby can’t do, and he’s absolutely lethal with the right squad. Gibraltar’s personality might be that of a cuddly bear, but when you see him charging at you in-game, you’ll definitely have to take a step back and rethink your strategy.
