Use your microphone!

Forget for a while your movement, your rotations, or even your aim. All of these things come second to communicating with your team. That is especially true for Apex Legends Battle Royale, since there are so many things that you need to consider and communicate to your team in the heat of the moment, verbal communication is a must. Pings are not going to cut it in this game!

Play for Placement!

With the changes that Apex Legends Season 13 brought to the way you earned ranking points, there is just no way to get a lot of RP if your match placement is anything lower than 10^th. It doesn’t matter even if you get 5 total kills, in many cases you would barely be able to make back the entry cost. Respawn Entertainment decided that no more ranked points will be handed out willy-nilly. You have to be patient and fight hard for it.

The good thing is, that you can earn ranked points for days if you get both a lot of kills and a good placement in the game. In previous seasons there used to be a limit to how much RP you could get in Ranked Matches, but not anymore. This is great especially in lower rankings, since many times the teams play recklessly, giving you the opportunity for easy kills.

Although it’s hard to know how much RP is a kill when you are in a match, higher ranking will make it worth much more no matter what! Play carefully and try to get high placement in each match!

Use “Hot-Drops” to your advantage!

Look, we get it. You are here to play Apex Legends and not a looting simulator. It feels really sad to drop secluded locations, loot of 5-10 minutes, just to end up dying to the first team that you encounter. But at the same time, landing on “Hot Drops” is not the answer, since you are probably going to die within seconds and lose a lot of rank points.

Instead of that, you should see the dropship’s direct path and land somewhere adjacent to the “hot-drops”, loot whatever you can find fast and when you are ready head over to the hot drop to finish off whoever survived. This should give you enough loot for a good portion of the game.

Beware that you need to be fast so you can catch the last team still fighting it out. This technique works especially well from Rookie all the way up to Platinum.

Learn when and how to rotate!

In Apex Legends Battle Royale, you need to know when to move. The clock is always ticking and the ring is getting smaller and smaller with each round, so the ability to rotate at the right time will give you the advantage over your enemies and it will allow you to be where you need to be on time. If you follow our previous tip and focus on getting ranked placements in all your ranked matches, this is the best way to do it.

A great tactic is to use a recon Legend to find the next position of the ring so you can go there fast and get behind some good cover. While being there, you can easily get kills by shooting at the teams that are struggling to get last-minute into the ring. This technique works no matter if you are a Bronze player or an Apex Predator!
