Worst Call of Duty Zombies of All Time [TOP 5]
Call of Duty Zombies has been attracting attention for years with its striking storyline and interesting maps. Although some Call of Duty games featuring Zombies are very successful and admired by the community, some of them go down in history as the unloved Call of Duty games that have sunk into oblivion.
So we're going to review the most forgetabble and downright disliked Zombies in Call of Duty today. In this review, we'll cover the Zombies maps, the Zombies mode, and of course the complete game to decide why they are out of favor . Then if you're ready, let's get started!
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, also known as Exo Zombies, ranks fifth on the list of the most disliked Call of Duty games. The reason why this CoD game is not liked is that new things have been tried in the game, but the whole gameplay has been changed because it definitely does not fit the FPS games genre. The Advanced Movement system was first tried in Zombies mode, but it was not very successful.
The developers attempted to use the new zombie kinds to fight the new advanced movement as the new movement and maps substantially impacted the gameplay. This has reduced the playability of the game. That's why most players do not find Advanced Warfare enjoyable. Even if it didn't have the best campaign in Call of Duty, the story was still somewhat gripping. In this respect, we can say that the players were less cruel and generous than the others when evaluating this Zombies mode.
World War II
Next up is Call of Duty: World War II, a game so forgotten that most players didn't even remember it. The reason why this CoD game is forgotten is because there is no innovation or difference in the game. The developers were completely safe while making this Call of Duty game and did not add anything new to the game. But they must not have taken into account how much this would reduce the quality of the game, because safe is not always the most logical decision.
The Zombies mode in World War II has no privileges or a different perspective from the others. So it's exactly the same game, they modified it very little and put it in front of us. There is nothing that stands out from the others in terms of Call of Duty Zombies maps. Sledgehammer Games, the developer of this Call of Duty Zombies game, seems to have failed to achieve what was wanted this time.
The third place among Call of Duty games featuring Zombies is Infinite Warfare, which has been bombarded with criticism. Infinite Warfare is actually a Zombies game in limbo. Because half of the players like Zombies in Spaceland thinking that it adds a different atmosphere and a completely colorful perspective to Call of Duty, while the other half thinks that it does not fit the theme of Call of Duty games and is a cringefest. Since the bright neon lights and carnival theme is a concept that is not very close to Call of Duty players, the criticisms have not ceased.
Also, the new knife mechanics in Infinite Warfare were definitely a downside. It was such a disliked feature that it was not included in future games, which was a very good decision. But most importantly, it was the final map that deserved to be the worst among Zombie maps. If it had been more successful on the map, maybe it wouldn't be among the worst Call of Duty titles despite all the criticism. Moreover, Infinity Ward used what was effective.
Black Ops IV
You might be waiting for Black Ops Cold War on the list, but no, Black Ops IV is one of the worst Call of Duty Zombies games. Half of the fanbase likes new concepts while the other half thinks it's ruining the game. The same goes for Black Ops IV. Black Ops IV's Zombies mode has two separate Call of Duty storylines, Chaos and Aether, and there are separate maps for both. And both are like two different Call of Duty games. Focusing on two different Call of Duty stories and modes is really distracting and produces a bad outcome.
Even though the Aether maps lacked personality and seemed rigid, we can still remark that the Chaos maps were a ton of fun. We wouldn't have had two options, but the Zombies mode would have performed better if there had been a genuine focusing on one mode rather than two. Developers love to try new things with their Call of Duty games, but if it's about making even half the game crappy, most players don't prefer it. Among the worst Zombies maps, Black Ops IV grabs the title. Also, the multiplayer mode was not good enough for a Black Ops game.
When Call of Duty games ranked, WORST Zombies game is by far Vanguard. Although it was newly released, it was so incomplete and bland that it was liked by very few people. There was almost no content in Vanguard and none of the elements that make up the Zombies mode were in this game. Almost nothing has been added to Vanguard that makes the Zombies mode fun and playable. That's a huge understatement and more than enough to make Vanguard the worst Call of Duty Zombies game.
The most classic and fun part of the Zombies mode is that you start from a certain location and progress by purchasing new areas, so the competition and excitement in the game are doubled. Players received a hub world that would teleport them to places with a restricted number of zombies in place of wall buys and Easter eggs. This completely destroyed the originality of Zombies mode. Zombies are not powerful enough, nonsense updates and garbage maps make Vanguard the worst of all Call of Duty games.
When we consider all this, we realize that although CoD Zombies has good modes, there are also bad modes that are not really worth playing. Even with Zombies mode added to games like Modern Warfare, these are the worst Zombies games in Call of Duty as a result. We hope you agree with us. Bye 'till the next time!
