Fortnite is unique because of the insane amount of inputs Epic Games included in the game. Even other intricate games like Elden Ring don’t compare to the amount of keybinds Epic Games programmed in Fortnite Battle Royale, so it’s understandable you’re looking for help with Fortnite keybinds. There’s no easier way to find yourself repeatedly eliminated in Fortnite Battle Royale than using poor keybinds. Therefore, you need to equip the best Fortnite keybinds to get after some Victory Royale’s!
What are the Best Fortnite Keybinds for Movement?
When it comes to deciding on movement keybinds in Fortnite the answer is pretty straight forward. Almost every Fortnite player has agreed upon similar movement controls.
Like I said, there isn’t much debate over the best movement keybinds, so you can swap over to the standard WASD movement and never look back!
What are the Best Fortnite Keybinds for Combat?
Unlike movement keybinds, different players have different preferences when it comes to Fortnite combat keybinds. Even pro players who play in the Fortnite World Cup can’t agree on one standardized set of keybinds. With that said, I’ll tell you my favorite Fortnite keybinds for combat.

Since the best Fortnite keybinds for combat are debated, I’ll give you another set of keybinds used by some pro players as an alternative.
Ninja Combat Keybindings
The pro players keybinds we’re going to take a look at come from Ninja, who was Fortnite’s biggest streamer at the games peak. If you want to check out a Ninja Fortnite skin check out Fortnite Skins in Real Life!
As you can see, when it comes to combat some keybinds should be standard. For example the Fire and Aim Down Sights mechanics should never be unbinded from your mouse buttons. However, other keybinds like weapon slots can be swapped to your preference. Speaking of weapon slots, if you want to know the best weapons to carry check out The Best Shotguns In Fortnite.
What are the Best Fortnite Keybinds for Building?
Remember when I said combat keybinds are debated? Well building keybinds are an even more hotly contested subject in the Fortnite community. Like before, I’ll start off with the keybinds I use, and then show you a pro players keybinds for an alternative option.
Admittedly, there are some out of the norm keybinds in my settings. For example, most players opt to use their mouse wheel for Reset Building Edit, but I feel I can perform a reset edit quicker with mouse clicks. Additionally, my rotate button J is out of the norm, because I rarely rotate builds in game.

Bugha Building Keybinds
Let’s move on to a Fortnite pro player keybinds to compare! For the building keybinds we’re going to look at Fortnite pro, Bugha. Bugha is well known in the Fortnite world for being the winner of the 2019 Fortnite World Cup.
Best Building Keybinds without thumb mouse buttons
There you are, two fantastic Fortnite keybind settings for building. But wait! What if you don’t have thumb mouse buttons? Don’t worry, I have one more set of keybinds that doesn’t use thumb mouse buttons.
Perfect! Now we have Fortnite building keybind settings for any player, even those of you without thumb mouse buttons.
What are the Best Targeting Sensitivity Settings?
With consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One allowing players to use a keyboard and gaming mouse, the amount of players looking for the best gaming mouse targeting sensitivity settings has increased.

To get the best answers, let’s look at some of the pro players we’ve already mentioned in regards to keybinds. Here are Bugha’s Fortnite mouse settings.
Keep in mind, some of these settings like DPI, are specific to your gaming mouse, and some will need to be changed in the Fortnite settings menu.
Ninja Fortnite Mouse Settings
Let’s move on to Ninja’s Fortnite mouse settings.
At first glance it looks like Ninja uses much higher sensitivity right? Not exactly. It’s important to remember that DPI affects the true sensitivity you’ll experience in game. Therefore, since Ninja uses 400 DPI vs Bugha’s 800 DPI, the difference between their mouse sensitivity isn’t as serious as it may seem.

Using a DPI calculator we can measure these players' effective dots per inch (eDPI) and calculate their true sensitivity. Bugha has an eDPI of 48, and Ninja has an eDPI of 68. While Ninja still has a higher sensitivity, it isn’t as high as you may have guessed at first glance.
Now that you have some options to select the best Fortnite keybinds, I’m sure you’ll be on your way to some Fortnite Victory Royale’s in Fortnite Chapter 3!
