Unless you've been living under a rock, you probably know already that Activision Blizzard has been acquired by Microsoft. On January 18th, 2023, Microsoft have caused a sensation, but not by releasing another version of Windows update. Instead, they spent $68.7 billion, the most considerable amount of all time when it comes to gaming, to acquire Activision Blizzard. But how will this acquisition impact the Overwatch games?

In all probability, players can expect constant improvements because, let's face it, Activision Blizzard hit rock bottom before this acquisition, primarily because of various scandals, losses in profits, unsuccessful games, etc. Microsoft's rescue came at the perfect time, so the only way from here is up. A perfect example of how Microsoft can improve a game is Minecraft, and since they acquired Mojang in 2014, that game has only been progressing and expanding. Let's hope they will do the same with Overwatch and the other famous Activision Blizzard titles.
