About Electro Element

Zap! Many electro characters happen to be the hottest characters in Genshin Impact. The electro element is really fun and quirky element to play around. With the recent introduction to the dendro element, there are more elemental reactions that synergize with electro.

Electro attacks can trigger powerful sources of elemental damage. Notable reactions that are known to swiftly reduce electro shields are Superconduct, Hyperbloom and Bloom reactions. with that said, you will face electro enemies like:

  • Electro Regisvines
  • Abyss Lectors: Violet Lightning
  • Consecrated Scorpions
  • Electro Abyss Mages
  • Fatui Skirmishers: Electrohammer Vanguard

Dendro

The newest element to Genshin Impact happens to be one of the best answers to fight electro enemies. The dendro element has access to high counts of dendro elemental hits (which can also be regarded as dendro elemental damage).

Well-known dendro reactions that core DPS (Damage Per Second) usually use are Bloom, Hyperbloom and Burgeon. These are excellent reactions that provide dendro damage - where all of them reduce electro shields by a large margin.

Since there are only a couple of dendro characters out in Genshin Impact, here are a couple of the most used dendro characters (that are most or all in main meta team comps for the Abyss):

  • Nahida - dendro-infused auto attacks and elemental skill
  • Collei - elemental skill and elemental burst

In order to execute Burgeon (Bloom core + Pyro element) and Hyperbloom (Bloom core + Electro element), you will first need to provide the base Bloom reactions (Hydro and Dendro element) to create the Bloom core.

Here are the list of dendro-related reactions and the additional characters that are recommended to defeat thick electro shields:

Hydro Characters for Bloom Cores (For Hydro Damage)

  • Yelan - elemental skill and elemental burst
  • Xingqiu - elemental skill and elemental burst
  • Kokomi - hydro-infused auto attacks and elemental reactions

Pyro Characters for Burgeon (For Pyro Damage)

  • Thoma - elemental burst
  • Xiangling - elemental skill and elemental burst
  • Klee - pyro-infused auto attacks, elemental skill and elemental burst

Electro Characters for Hyperbloom (For Electro Damage)

  • Raiden Shogun - elemental skill and elemental burst
  • Yae Miko - electro-infused auto attacks, elemental skill and elemental burst
  • Lisa - electro-infused auto attacks and elemental burst

Cyro

Eula Idle

The cryo element is known for the popular Superconduct reaction, a staple for the Physical Damage Queen Eula Lawrence (and also well known by many audiences for showing the highest damage in Genshin Impact). When the cryo element meets electro shields or the electro element, it reduces electro shields by a bunch, and also makes the electro enemies weaker to physical damage.

With the understanding of the Superconduct reaction, here is a list of cyro characters that are usually used to fight against electro enemies:

  • Eula - physical auto attacks (usually for electro abyss mages) and elemental skill
  • Ayaka - cyro-infused auto attacks and elemental burst
  • Ganyu - elemental skill and elemental burst

Hydro

Drown enemies in water and watch electro enemies zap themselves to their own demise, but don't short-circuit your computer board or you will appear offline (physically and metaphorically!). Although hydro and electro results with the electro-charged reactions, the hydro element is mainly used in the hydro and cryo reactions. When the enemies are frozen solid, the cryo element lingers, which can later proc with the electro shields and external electro damage incoming.

Make sure you are familiar with these hydro characters that can provide enough hydro damage to turn off electro shields:

  • Kokomi - elemental skill
  • Yelan - elemental skill and elemental burst
  • Xingqiu - elemental burst

Ensure that you do not attempt to deal electro damage as an elemental shield nullifies the element they are. Additionally, ensure that your computer is strong enough to display electro animations as they are usually flashy, so you should learn how to show your FPS in Genshin Impact if there are any signs of lagging.
