Cartoon themes are very beloved in the Minecraft community, and Minecraft is great for such themes, as it has a pretty cartoonish look from the get-go. Windmill Isle Act 2

The Windmill Isle Act 2 map is based on the Apotos 2 Act from the popular Sonic Unleashed video game. This sonic the hedgehog minecraft map features tons of cool obstacles and an entirely new and beautiful space to explore. Minecraft adventure maps like these are very rare to come by, and you'll have a ton of fun reminiscing if you've played Sonic Unleashed.

It's made for version 1.18.2 of Minecraft Java Edition. Bedrock edition users, unfortunately, can't get this. Additionally, this map does include a resource pack called ApotosPack that you're going to need to complete the entire vibe. The author also recommends downloading a shader mod to make it look even better.

Green Hill Zone Paradise

This minecraft map features a Green Hill Paradise parkour course inspired by Sonic. It combines the Sound the Hedgehog mod with the 2D Craft mod to create a unique Minecraft sonic experience. It's built as a 2.5D iconic sonic level, which you'll be able to play through quickly. There are also seven chaotic emeralds that are concealed throughout the map!

These chaotic emeralds bring a lot of replay value to the map, and we think that you'll enjoy finding them. A few mods are required for this map, and you can find those on the mod's download page along with download links.

Sonic the Hedgehog DLC

This is another Sonic the Hedgehog parkour-inspired map that may fool you into thinking it's a DLC for the sonic games. This map isn't as big as some of the previous ones, but it will scratch that old-school sonic itch that many of you might have.

It will require you to download a sonic-themed texture pack that completely transforms your game and adapts to the map in question.

Little Planet - Sonic CD

Little Planet is a planet that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog CD video game. In this map, the Author and his building team tried to capture the feeling of being on Little Planet itself after being inspired by the game's imagery and soundtrack. Suffice it to say, they managed to bring this vibrant world to life and made it one of the best cartoonish Minecraft adventure maps.

What completes this mod is the fact that it features 5 unique zones from the aforementioned sonic video game. These are: Palmtree Panic, Collision Chaos, Tidal Tempest, Quartz Quadrant, and Stardust Speedway.

Sonic The Hedgehog Course

We have yet another beloved sonic-themed parkour map that comes with its own minigames and bonus quest. The entire objective of the map is to complete the course in the shortest time possible, with beacons guiding you to the necessary checkpoints. The checkpoints must be passed in order, but you're also encouraged to find the fastest route possible.

The map also includes a nifty redstone timer that's as close to a real timer as possible, super speed, and TNT spring jumping. All of this will increase the amount of fun you're having. We'd highly recommend this map if you're a fan of the old sonic 2D video games.

Best Sonic Servers in Minecraft

Given that we've covered some of the best sonic maps in Minecraft, it's about time we showcased some of the best sonic servers in Minecraft that are currently playable, Now, not many servers have a sonic theme outright, but there are a couple of servers that have similar parkour course game modes and minigames that mimic sonic. 

UltimisMC

UltimisMC is one of the most unique, if not the most unique Minecraft parkour server in the world. Aside from the normal parkour game modes, Ultimis offers fun race-like parkour challenges and games. Players can play for points or time, but they can also compete against other players.

One thing you have to keep in mind is that this server has both complex and beginner parkour challenges, so don't be discouraged if you can't finish some of them. What many players like about it is that it's unique, and the owners plan on keeping it that way.

Happy HG Network

Happy HG Network has tons of parkour courses that you'll never get sick of. There are over 100 parkour challenges for you to experience, and you're bound to run into maps with different Minecraft biomes and settings. There are a lot of other game modes that this server offers, but if you're all about sonic, then the parkour section should suffice.

Mineplex

As it stands, Mineplex is among the most populated servers in Minecraft. It has dozens of unique game modes with different worlds and puzzles that are suited for nearly every demographic of Minecraft players. What's even better is that there are so many players to play with. You'll definitely find someone to partake in parkour activities with you.

Sonic might have little to do with Mineplex, but given how there aren't any sonic-themed servers around anymore, what Mineplex offers is the closest thing to it.
