How to craft Beacon in Minecraft
#1 Collect 5x Glass
Glass can be obtained by smelting Sand or Red Sand in the Furnace. They yield 1x Glass for each block smelt.
The Lava room in the Woodland Mansion contains 98x Glass. But be aware of the lava and the Vindicators!
You can also trade 4x Glass with the Librarian village for 1x Emerald. They have to be at least at the Journeyman level to have this trade.
#2 Collect 3x Obsidian
Obsidian is a hard block that is generated in many places like the Woodland Mansion. They have a chance to spawn with 129x Obsidian block. Obsidian can also be generated as part of Ruined Portals and Ruins.
The typical way to generate Obsidian is to find a lava pool and pour water onto it. Each lava block will convert into 1x Obsidian.
If you’re in the End dimension, you can mine a large amount of Obsidian by looking for Obsidian Pillars.
Alternatively, you can find Obsidian in chests in some structures like Bastion Remnants, Nether Fortresses, Ruined Portals, and Villages. They have a small chance to contain 1-7x Obsidian.
#3 Collect 1x Nether Star
Nether Star is a unique and rare item that only drops from the Wither boss.
To summon and fight the Wither, you will need 4x Soul Sand and 3x Wither Skeleton Skulls. Remember to prepare your best gear for this fight!
#4 Finish off crafting a Beacon
When you have 5x Glass, 3x Obsidian, 1x Nether Star, right-click on any nearby Crafting Table and put 3x Obsidian in one line at the bottom grids, a Nether Star in the middle, and fill the remaining grid with Glass to craft 1x Beacon.
