How To Craft An Empty Map
#1 Open Your Crafting Table
First and foremost, open your crafting table so that you can have a 3x3 crafting grid as you can see in the screenshot below.
Just go near your crafting table and right click on it.
Before moving to the next step, make sure you have enough paper and a compass in your inventory. However, if you don’t have enough, you can use our guide on how to craft paper to make them in no time. You can also craft a compass using our exclusive guide on how to craft a compass like a pro.
#2 Add 8x Paper and 1x Compass Into Crafting Table
Next, you should place 8x paper and 1x compass into a 3x3 crafting grid in a specific manner. In the very first row, you should place 3x paper, one in each box. In the middle row, you should place 1x paper in the first box, 1x compass in the middle box and 1x paper in the third box. In the third row, you should place 3x paper, one in each box.
Displacement of compass to another box won’t get you an empty map. So be careful while placing it.
#3 Move Empty Map To Inventory
Once done, you will get an empty map that will appear on the right side of your crafting grid. Now is the time to move the map to inventory.
Just drag and drop the map to inventory.
You can repeat the process again and again to get your desired number of empty maps.
