How to Find a Lush Cave in Minecraft

Lush Caves are full of luscious plants and trees that grow from the moisture and oxygen available within the cave. These are loved by Minecraft explorers, and many have a hard time finding a Lush Cave. Below we have put together all you need to know on how to find a Lush Cave in Minecraft and what to look for when searching for one. You never know what you may find in Lush Caves, including some rare Lush Seeds!

How to Find a Lush Cave in Minecraft

Lush Caves first started appearing in the 1.17 Version of Minecraft, as more and more features were added during 1.18. By now, you should have a hint in the overworld of how to spot a Lush Cave.

Lush caves are easily located when searching for an azalea tree. The azalea tree is usually found on the surface, for which underneath is the Lush Cave. These trees are your average oak tree in Minecraft, with the difference of mixed leaves with azalea flowers. Spotting an Azalea tree means that you are close to a Lush Cave, and the Lush Cave Biomes are probably right underneath you.

Once you spot one of the azalea trees, it's best to create a survival base around the area, so you can create an entrance into the Lush Cave Biome. Once you start digging, you should start to notice cave vines that are connected to the Lush Caves Biome. Be careful though, and make sure to dig in a diagonal to avoid falling to your death.

Inside the Lush Cave Biome, you should be able to spot more azalea trees, glow berries, spore blossoms, and even tropical fish (which were added in the cliffs update)!

Minecraft Lush Caves are found in any of the overworld biomes that generate in Minecraft. There are no specific areas to find a Lush Cave more than another. So, depending on where you spawn in your Minecraft world, finding Lush Caves should be fairly easy with the points we mentioned above!

Along with all of these amazing mobs, you will also encounter some aggressive mobs as well, so be careful when treading in the dark! Torches here are your best friend.
