1. Launch the Steam app on your PC and visit your Game Library.
2. Find Garry's Mod on the list, and click on it.
3. You can view your total play time for Garry's Mod on the game's info page.

There is one more option to view the time you've played Garry's Mod: summon the Steam Overlay while in-game.
